29: True Grit (2010) - I'm glad I finally got around to watching this. Hailee Steinfeld was incredible and absolutely deserved the Oscar buzz.

51.- Beginners (US 2010) It was entertaining for such a deep movie. Christopher Plummer was :D
52.- The Awakening (UK 2011) Surprisingly good. It's similar to the Others but with better storyline. It's not that scary at all.
53.- Beowulf (US 2007) Apparently he likes his name a little too much. Didn't know the story...now I know he was kind of a jerk.
54.- New Years Eve (US 2011) I really enjoy these types of movies, they're easy and entertaining, no rocket science here.
55.- Columbus Circle (US 2012) I liked it, you kinda see the end result coming but it still manages to keep you interested.
56.- The Duchess (UK 2008) LOVED it, the story is great and the costumes to die for. Brilliant acting from Ralph Fiennes and Keira.
57.- Blue Valentine (US 2010) I wanted to cross it off my list, the more I learn about how it was made the more I like it. Ryan Gossling looks so hot in it, like always.
58.- Love, Actually (UK 2003) Same as NYE. I've already watched years ago but when I learnt that Andrew Lincoln was in it and that he is British, I had to watch it again.
59.- The Tourist (US,France 2010) It wasn't my choice, I was trapped in a bus and they put it on...Angelina looks too scary and Johny Depp without the funny make up is not funny.
60.- The Next Three Days (US 2010) Russel Crowe was great but somehow I didn't believe Elizabeth Banks' part. the story is nice though.

18. salmon fishing in the yemen (silly but kind of sweet in moments..)

19. footnote [i was disappointed...i had been looking forward to seeing this for months and with the exception of a few scenes, it was inconsistent and insecure film making, i thought. the lead actor was wonderful, though]

30: Malena (2000) - an Italian film featuring Monica Bellucci. She certainly smolders onscreen, even though she had very little dialog in this film.
31: Caramel (2007) - a Lebanese film set in a Lebanese beauty salon, follows the lives of five women and the various troubles they face. It's marketed as a romantic comedy, but the material is heavier than that distinction imo.
32: Diner (1982) - I recently read a piece on this film in Vanity Fair so I put it on my "to watch" list. Diner is the sort of model for a format that we take for granted today... that Seinfeld-esque, sit around a table and just talk sort of thing is what Diner invented. Also, it's kind of the birth of the bromance in a way. Great cast of characters too... Mickey Rourke pre-weird face, Paul Reiser, Steve Guttenberg, Ellen Barkin etc.
33: The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) - Matthew McConaughey film, it was entertaining to watch, but wasn't anything groundbreaking in terms of a film. Just a moneymaker for the studio I'm sure...
34: The Edge of Heaven (2007) - I believe this is classified as a German film, but really it switches seamlessly between German, Turkish and English. It's been in my netflix queue for a while now and I'm glad I finally got around to watching it. Some might find the film frustrating but I thought it was really beautifully done. Would definitely recommend it. The lives of four Turkish people and 2 German people intersect and there are a lot of missed connections. When a man's father accidentally kills a prostitute the man goes on a mission to find the woman's daughter in Turkey but she's involved with a protest group and has in fact fled to Germany to find her mother. Tough plot to sum up but it held my attention and had me emotionally invested.

24. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011). Did not like it at all. It was as though it tried to make me feel a certain way by it's use of music.

26. Stranger than fiction (2006). I actually enjoyed Will Ferrell in this one, there's a first for everything.
27. Impromptu (1991). Annoyed by the main characters, enjoyed the supporting ones.
