^ I want over-the-knee boots, too, but am having a hard time finding some that fit. Just ordered some Steve Madden ones. I hope they fit. Do you have a particular pair in mind?

^ I'll check out the Steve Maddens. I was thinking about ordering @ asos.
I've seen a few in stores but they're just not right for me so I keep looking ^_^
Do you want them with a heel or flat?

I'm looking for them with a heel since I'm only 5'2" tall. I'm also looking for a pair under $200 since I'm not entirely sure how often I would wear them...

After all this white on the spring runways I am on the hunt for the perfect white trousers. I already have 10,000 variations of white blouses and tanks. (Exaggerating maybe...) I also need a white sheer knee length slim skirt, and a sheer white cami dress.

Oh but it's barely fall you say! The only thing I can focus on right now is finding the perfect faux fur coat! Anyone know of a decent priced, good looking one>

I love this thread. My fall five items are:

1. Grey cashmere Vince sweater
2. AG Striped navy and white slouchy tee
3. Vince skinny black pants
4. Dark grey fitted wool blazer from JCrew
5. Red blouse

I've got everything except the perfect red blouse. Looking for suggestions....

Love this thread... I wish Ta-Ta and Belowen and the rest, you'd post pictures of your clothes...I'm so curious what your style is like!

Here's my list for Winter 10/11

Shoes
Black boots (not too high)

Tops
1 or 2 nice and simple but still unique tops in rosé, a light purple. (bought one rosé and one in mint)
I hope to find some nice ones with details. Simple is nice, but not too simple. (Maybe pockets)

Cardigans
I'd love a nice, warm one for winter in camel. Not too short and flattering...
I'm size 34/36 so they're usually either too tight or too loose

Just bought this: in neutral

Accessories
A nice, special necklace that is good quality... I think I get one from my parents for b-day. (Going to get it this saturday)
A nice hat for winter, I'm thinking wool in camel (as I have a beautiful camel coat with a big hood from last year)

(Bought this headband:

Beautiful, special designer gloves
Black overknees

Pullover

1,2 long ones, either knitted (but not too heavy) or cashmere (in camel, rosé, grey)
Bought one Stefanel one in camel. Love it!

Pants
black skinny jeans (not too skinny though)
Found a really nice pair (Pepe Jeans)

Let's hope I find all this ;-)

Still need:

Beautiful gloves, boots (I am looking for Sienna Miller's Pirate Boots everywhere :-( ), black overknees!

I generally post pictures of things that I buy in the Shopaholics Anonymous thread, but I would be happy to post pics of anything you wish to see in here! Let me know if there is anything in particular you'd like to see - otherwise I will post my final pieces for this season as I find them ^_^

Oh thank you - that's too sweet... I think I'll go to the "Shopaholics" Thread right now :-)))

My newest item (cardigan) from the list is by Anthropologie... I hope it's going to fit me... :-)

Culling my list down to the essentials for the season:

3 x Short Sleeved Blouses (for work & going out)
1 x Short Sleeved Dress (for going out)
Black Leather Peep Toe Wedges
Black Leather Peep Toe Flats
Oversized Clutch
Earrings

Possibilities:

Anthropologie "Look About" Blouse
Anthropologie "Kinship" Blouse
Kenneth Jay Lane Leaf Earrings

So I managed to get an item off of my list, another blouse to wear to work/out. It's not short sleeved, but it's sheer which means I shouldn't get TOO hot wearing it  I plan on wearing it tucked into pencil skirts with peep toe wedges/flats. (shopbop.com)

So I looked at my old list and I got most of what I wanted for fall. There's only one piece I got on the list I don't really wear unfortunately--that lace ruffle-hemmed tunic I post a few pages back. :( I just can't get it to work since the length is kind of awkward for my height (and I didn't realize that before). I might give it to a roommate since they are taller. I hate it when things don't work out! :/

It's going to be winter soon, so I figured I should start making my list. I've been pretty good lately about being only what I need.

I already got a head start on my winter list my purchasing this coat:

(jcrew.com)

^It's on it's way to me now! I'm excited as this is my first real petite-sized coat, so I'm sure it will fit perfectly. Looking at the coats I have now, they're all a bit big or disproportionate on me somehow as I am petite, so I'm trying to buy coats that are specifically made for petites from now on.

Other things I want this winter:
- Skinny jeans in a clean, inky dark wash, prolly by J Brand
- Long chunky cardigan.

Yep, that's about it so far. I can't really think of anything else I'd like right now, which is kind of a good thing. :)

So, from my original fall wishlist, I've purchased chocolate brown boots & a purple cashmere cardigan. I don't think I'll buy anything else this season, & instead try to focus on Christmas shopping.

On a somewhat related note, have any of you heard of Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge? (Info here: http://kendieveryday.blogspot.com/2010/11/announcing.html) The premise: you pick 30 pieces and make 30 outfits out of it, & no shopping for 30 days. I think this sort of fits into the theory here. I'm going to try it myself. Wish me luck! (My 30 items are chosen here: http://literateandstylish.tumblr.com/post/1478035267/30for30items)

^I actually think that sounds rather easy  But I guess it depends on the person. :flower:
Though, I know some people have been doing this with less pieces.

I've never been very minimalistic when it comes to clothes or shoes (bags is another matter). And I've always been a fan of high street. But as of lately I've done some thinking and most of the stuff I really love, and keep loving, are slightly more expensive and in better quality. This have made me rethink my consumer patterns. I buy less and consider each purchase to a greater level than before. So even though I may never become a truly "4-5 piece French wardrobe" kind of girl, I am appreciating it.

This thread has actually made me realize that I need a bunch of nice basics. With that in mind I've gotten some great FW pieces, that I know I'll pull out next year as well.
-a pair of ankle high heeled suede booties from H&M
-a very long dark grey angora knit blend scarf from H&M
-a navy blue wool knit blend from H&M´s mens department
-a black leather satchel from COS
-a simple black wool/cashmere blend coat with a silver zipper from COS
-a black knee length brocade skirt from COS

Well it's still high street, but the quality is certainly better and the styles are easily combinable. Though, I still want a few more knit pieces. Something in a dark grey and something in a nice jewel purple or green.

- wow, excuse the ranting... :ninja:

30 pieces is a lot! That's like my whole wardrobe

Wow, really?? I'm so daunted by it because I don't think 30 is a lot at all! Maybe if shoes weren't included as a part of the total number, it'd be easier for me?

I'm seeing it as an exercise in minimalism haha.

I hope to get my wardrobe down to 30 beloved pieces one day.

Right now, I find myself wanting to put on a pair of solid mid-heeled shoes every morning. Given that I live in rather rugged weather, I think that means I would like to get a pair of mid-heeled short boots.

talbots

Bought six pair of DKNY tights tonight, on sale, double points :woot: Black crochet, gunmetal, purple, red, and plain black.

Also ordered this rosette collar in both blush & black (they're backordered--I may only keep one):
