I have some issues with my right eye, so I'm not allowed to either sit in front of the computer or watch TV more than two hours a day soo no movies, just books these days.. although I spend 45 mins a day to watch Castle the rest of the time I've been reading like crazy, I even declined a date yesterday to can read. I guess I got addicted to books, I've spent a 100$ on books last week and I don't even know if I'll manage to read all of them but it doesn't matter.
1. The Magus by John Fowles
2. Atonement by Ian McEwan
3. Ciuleandra by Liviu Rebreanu
4. Memories of My Melancholy Whores by Gabriel García Márquez
5. Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin
6. Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk
7. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
8. The Devil and Miss Prym by Paulo Coelho
9. Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
10. Le Père Goriot by Honoré de Balzac
11. Eugénie Grandet by Honoré de Balzac
12. Short stories by Gabriel García Márquez
13. Mantissa by John Fowles
14. The Red and the Black by Stendhal
15. Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert
16. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky - while I was reading it my mom said, you either love or hate this book, and I LOVE it! Really, it's a masterpiece.
17. Sister Carrie by Theodore Dreiser - I've read so many negative comments on the book, but I liked it. Sister Carrie describes those times when NY and Chicago where different from now but it tells us that the society basically stays the same, people never change, even in 100 years. I like Dreiser's books, he has this unique manner of writing.
18. A Stolen Life by Jaycee Lee Dugard - it hurt reading this, I knew about Jaycee but I didn't expect the book to be so...realistic and tragic. I never cry on books or movies, but I couldn't stop the tears after reading this and I couldn't fall asleep after I've finished it, thinking on how cruel this world is and how happy I am having everything I have.
19. Two kisses for Maddy by Matt Logelin - amazing story, again, I've been crying the whole night torturing my friend with the messages how cruel and unfair life is. A man describing his love, it was so beautiful to read the book, it has this simple language which transmits a lot of feelings. It's like you've been somewhere there with him. I swear I consider Matt a hero after reading this. It's an amazing book!
20. Seriously, I’m Kidding by Ellen DeGeneris - I love Ellen!! I've been smiling and laughing through the whole book, she's adorable! It's like she was sitting next to me and telling everything herself!
21. If Only It Were True by Marc Levy - Loved both the movie and the book. I've always liked Levy.
