Alright i have a question that may be a little extreme, but bare with me. Is there a way that the doctor can actually take layers of skin off? For example, i HATE my nose simply because thats where breakouts happen, and some scars are also present, nowhere else on my face has pimples, EXCEPT that area:unsure:...so i was just wondering is that possible?

..i HOPE its possible....

There's practically a solution to almost every skin problem, especially when you consider surgery. There's skin peeling, if that's what you're looking for. I've seen people get it and their scars practically vanish over night, although you kinda have to endure with a few days of not being able to go outside and very sensitive skin.

Wow thats good to know. Im going to check into skin peeling, and see if that helps. I need some layers of skin taken off of my nose, that is the only solution i see for curing this problem :(

It's true that food affects the skin, but chocolate is not the food that causes me breakouts. The only food that I've noticed causing me breakouts is ice cream.

Help me out, please. Does anybody know if the Minancora products are sold outside Brazil? I can´t find them anywhere in Portugal! :c

If you tried it, what do you have to say about it?

Honestly all those creams and those acne 'facts'.. oh acne isnt caused by dirt , acne isnt caused by what you eat.. BULL****!
I find whenI cleanse my face thoroughly I get little to NO breakouts. When I eat right and take the right supplements = little to no breakouts.. and yes chocolate does cause pimples.. who the hell made up these 'facts'?

this is of course bulls*it.

i have acne (a bit) because of what i eat. and why? because i have a nasty food allergy that evolved into a rare disease mixed with diabetes.

when i eat something with gluten or simple tomatoes, honey, cheese and ham and so on and so forth i get acne immediately.

for instance - yesterday i had to take pills for my sore throat. and what? i woke up today and my face was covered in acne. i read the instruction and noticed that there are herbs in this pills.

so tiring. :innocent:

does anyone have the history of acne? people used to have it in XVII or XVIII century?

Eurgh my skin has been so good recently but I have a stupid blister type spot popped up on my jaw line :ninja:

my acne is being so stubborn!!! even the skintactix isnt helping as much as id like it to..
i blame it on the birth control, thats when i started breaking out again...
now i have no active eruption sites, but i still have the swelling and hyperpigmentation i get from the healing process ( i ALWAYS have cystic acne). can anyone recommend anything for that?

i was reading som reviews on lemon juice on MUA, its supposedly like a miracle for hyperpigmentation, but you have to stay out of the sun and really really moisturize your skin...has anyone tried this? i really want to give it a go!!!!

^ Just be sure to dilute the lemon juice really really well. Even though it's natural, it can still be really damaging.

ya i REALLY believe that what you eat affects your skin.

when i eat too much chocolate or when i went through my orange juice phase i had uncontrollable skin.

personal experience is more reliable than the book.

I've just started drinking about 2 inches of cider vinegar a day..it tastes gross but my skin is really nice.... try it people

I've never had a bad skin until I let my hair grow, and now it hits my forehead, and now my forehead looks bad. I went to the doctor that suggested this treatment and I got it. The actual acne is gone but I still have those red spots on my forehead, any idea on how to get rid of them?

I swear by neosporin. It heals your skin blemishes and scars. The only thing though is that you're not supposed to use it all over for an extended amount of time because your skin will become immune to it. The spot you put it on instantly goes down overnight!!!
I also found that septra, an oral antibiotic keeps my skin clear, but when I go off of it it's absolutely terrible!

i dont actually get that many breakouts (maybe 3 pimples a month) but ALL of them ALWAYS leave behind red marks that it always makes my skin look way worse than it really is, i hate it. :( it takes about 1 year for me before the red marks are completely faded, but i know that if i tan it blends in a lot faster since i have a very olive complexion

today i got a MILLION small dots on my jaw line. it actually gave me goose bumps.

so sad.:(

I have problems like this too, I hardly get any pimples, but when I think my face is looking all perfect one pimple pops out of nowhere and leaves a very dark mark. I'm a very very pale Filipino, but for some reason the scars pimples leave behind are super super dark, and when I try to go out in the sun to kinda blend it, it gets worse, haha. It takes months of exfoliating and bleaching for one freakin' pimple scar to be fully removed. And most of the time before that happens another one creeps in. I HATE IT!

im a dumb butt, officially

for the past month ive been moping and whining about how gross my skin is...but thinking about it, ive not been taking any care of it, i mean ive been sleeping in my makeup...:o i know, its horrible, im so ashamed of myself.....my poor skin. last night i gave my sking a loving, thorough cleansing and treatment with skintactix, and today i woke up to wonderful, less inflamed skin...

im such a piggy..no more sleeping in my makeup for me... and also im changing my pillow covers every other day, no more once weekly for me...this has helped me in the past..i know itll hlep this time around!

another note ppl!

i had a HORRIBLE flare up of acne after 2 years without it when i started my birth control(ortho tri cyclin lo) this summer, and it continued stubbornly and horribly without budging (even with skintactix) until a month ago, when my PCP changed me to a lower dose BC( Lutera ).. and ive seen an improvement of about 75-80 % in my skin, and its only been the 1st month on lutera...you gals might want to consider changing ur BC if youve noticed stubborn acne thats not being helped by any other means...
