did you stick with it and use the cream soap over it wiith it?
i love it...my skin is very breakout prone and this makes it clean and glowy for me.

I had quite bad acne on my face but thankfully accutane wiped it all of. Now, six months after the end of the treatment, it seems that some spots are appearing again (it's now just a couple, but if it will get worse, I guess I have to go with accutane again, hrr :o ).
Thank god I have this acne cream which seems to work with single spots very well! It's called Wicne (by Louis Widmer). This cream seems to have very drying effect so only apply it a littlebit but it really works! :D I really wish I had this when my acne started to appear three years before...I would still have scarless and smooth skin on my face.
ps. if you do have severe acne, go for accutane if you can! it sure is quite hell to go through but you will thank afterwards!
ps2. I know this has been repeated to death but do NOT squeeze your spots, no matter how ugly they might look! I did because I was really desperate (and tried some antibiotics and creams which didn't help at all) and now I have ugly scarring on my face.

water, water, and more water!!

I can't stress this enough. This past week or so I've been drinking water like crazy and my skin has improved drastically! I used to have mild acne on my forhead but now it's pretty much gone. I've also been using H20 products, and getting lots of sleep etc so probably that helped too.
Yes, I think water and sleep help too!
I had terrible sleeping times...like a couple of hours and then I went to school. Needless to say I was exhausted and my acne just got worse.

I had semi-bad and certainly annoying acne so i went on accutane. Keep in mind i've tried every over the counter product-proactive-and basically every prescription for acne (plus tried all the herbal stuff and "drink lots of water" which turned out to be a load of bs in my case) so this was my last resort. Because i weigh just a lil bit my dosage has never been that high and thats one of the reasons i think i've had such a wonderful experience with it. The worst side effect is some acheyness in my back after i've been slouching (or maybe that just means i shouldnt be slouching!) other side effects for me include small random dry patches on arms hands and legs, plus lips are constantly chapped but can be controlled. I would recommend this treatment for anyone-although i know it works differently on everyone. My skin is now near perfect-glowy-soft- and radiant i've never had any dryness on my facial skin. You just have to be gentle with it all i have to do in the mornings is gently wash with some warm water and every couple of days i exfoliate it. Its wonderful i couldnt say anything better about it. Truly a miracle. If i ever get any other consistent acne after my treatment i wont hesitate to get on it again.

The best thing to do is to go to a dermatologist. They will recommend exactly what you need and will help to tailor it to your needs. I wouldn't risk anything else until you've gone to them, or until your friend has gone to them.

I Tried Everything. I Have Combo Skin So One Thing Would Over-dry Whereas Another Would Make My Face Feel Heavy And Gross If It Was Too Fatty. So I Did Accutane Which Helped Immensely Although My Skin Was Never Perfect But Was Still 150 Percent Better. But Now, A Few Years Later I Have Medium Acne Skin But Still Acne Skin ( Never Perfect But Never Awful). I Have No Idea What To Do. I Think Accutane Really Dried Out My Once Luxurious Hair And Made It Even Fall Out A Bit Aswell. Not Then But Now. I Mean No Baldness But Much Thinner Hair. Has Anyone Expierienced This?
I Am Very Interested In Fotofacials Or Laser Or Whatever. Anyway I Am Just Sharing. Maybe I Will Give Proactiv One Last Go. And Any Info On Laser And Diff Types Etc.
I Wish Any Spotty People In Here Lots Of Luck On Your Quest To Beautiful Skin

P.s. I Love Viktor And Rolf

ah. as i said. dermatologist. they're trained in these sort of things. im sure theyll find something that will work for you. go make an appointment asap.

I used a lot of treatement. I used topic antibiotic that didnt worked. Now i'm on Minocyclin 100mg, (oral antibiotic) but I used it for like 6 months and its not working well. so my dermatolgist suggested me Accutan, an extrem solution for recurrent acne. We'l see what will happen.

Anybody has tried Accutan here?

Finally find a solution to my pimple problems. My friends mom is a dermatologist and she gave me 2 products both from sebamed clear face 1)care gel - really cools and soothes the skin. it makes it soo smooth and supple. I really recommend this. I have been using it for nearly 1 week and result is fantastic. No new pimples:brows: 2)coloured anti-pimple cream. Doesnt allow to devlop new pimples. I really recommend these products:wink: Good luck

I have Used Roaccutane for 7 months. I would recommend it, although each person reacts differently to it. Roaccutane is usually used as a LAST option. MY beautiful, clear skin stayed like that for 2 years after stopping the treatment. Now It's been almost 5 years since I have stopped and I do have problems again. But i think for me, not eating chocolate or nuts is already a BIG help in clearing my skin! Other than that, drinking water does help!! I also use SVR foaming gel, both for the face and body. My dermatologist gave me "acnemycin". Lets hope pimples go away

i've had chronic problems with my skin. was on accutane for awhile.

though strangely enough, when i was in beijing for 3 months, ate the greasiest foods, the city is really dirty.... i had CLEAR skin. this is the only time in my life since adolescence that this happened. i have no idea why. maybe its the tea.

I might just have a qualified answer for this one...
Maybe you have heard that a lot of scientists and dermatologists (sp?) have been talking about dairy (youghurt, milk, cheese, cream etc.) as one of the biggest acne-triggering factors...If not I will share now^_^
A grand study of 47.000 girls has been done, and it turns out that if you drink/eat more than two servings of cow-milk products per day the risk of getting severe acne is 44 % bigger (not to shabby!).
Well, if this sounds very strange to you, that might be because you have been raised by parents and society who tell you that milk is healthy, good for you and absoultely nescesary (sp? - sorry) - calcium, ribofalvin etc. etc.
Well, ask yourself this one question, and you will see where I am going:
"does ANY other animal continue drinking milk after they stop being breast-fed? And this is not even milk from our own kind!" - the answer is of-course a big NO! But why is it dangerous? Well:
1) The cows who are often pregnant are stuffed with hormones, just like pregnant women (who by the way often suffer from acne during the 9 months) especially progestorone which also comes in the human body when we hit puberty....acne!
2) A lot of...oh I don't know what they are called in english... hmn...bad additives?? you know, un-natural things to kill the bacteria and stuff are used in milk and this can worsen acne, too!

So, still don't believe me?
How come people in non-western contries with different food-culture (without dairy products) do not suffer from acne? How come this persons acne claered up in 3 months...Because he/she ate non or very few dairy products!!

Yeeephee!

So maybe it is not that dificult after all! getting rid of acne, I mean there are LOTS of milk-substitute products out there soy-milk, soy-youghurt, desserts, cream-cheese, cheddar, paté's etc etc-try all health-food stores...
and is you are afraid of not getting enough calciúm (which you, by the way do get enough of, if you eat al lot of mixed vegetables each day) you can just take suplements! So what are you waiting for...put down that glass of slimy cow juice and go grab an apple or delicious siy-dessert...:P Good luck with your acne...me myself am on a non-dairy diet , been on it for almost 2 weeks..and guess what : my moderate acne has cleared completely up!!:D
If you still do not believe me - try google: Dairy + acne !! and you'll see what I mean - or try www.milksucks.com a little exagerated but allright.

 Love alba

to prevent pimples, stay away from:
PEANUTS
CHOCOLATES
OILY , FRIED FOODS
SWEAT (wipe it off immediately)
CAFFEINE

Sleep early, eat a healthy meal everyday. works wonders!

thats right...no cheese...and try staying away from red meat too...
by the way, check out this REALLY helpfull acne-site: www.acne-advice.com
Here you can get receips, books and products...
It was here I first learned about skin-sinners and savers.
Good luck tu you all.
(ps. You really should try reading some of those scientific articles - they are a bit heavy but make you understand... as i said google: Dairy Acne)

Thank you all for your information on the causes of acne.

I have a few questions if anyone could help me. I had mild acne for several years and a recently went to the dermatologist to get it cleared up. So far no more outbreaks but I don't know how to get rid of my scars and discolorations. Could someone recommend any products to help clear up my scars? :flower:

I know a scar gel called "zeraderm" ..... apparently very good. But if anyone knows any other ones do tell

i would suggest getting a series of laser facial treatments for scarring- this is best thing you could do.
product-wise, i know sonya dakar makes products specifically for scarring- they are pricey but effective. you can order online too.

okay I walk/jog outdoors so what should I use to make sure sweat doesn't sit on my skin?
