http://soap-please.com/store/home.php is another link for unrefined shea butter products. it is Daybreak Lavender Farm- an organic farm where they handmake everything. no black soap though. i swear by their rassoul mud facial soap.
for the above site, my friend who swears by it wanted me to add this for you:
Hi! I love black soap. I'm also pretty sure that anyone asking about it is talking about african black soap. My understanding is that "black soap" is made with a high percentage of plant butters or oils(shea, cocoa--depending on what is local to the region) and ash from native wood or plants. I order mine from
http://www.agbangakarite.com/. It's a really pure black soap from Togo and I like it because it uses mostly shea butter. I've looked at some brands sold is stores, but they're scented and don't have a very high percentage of shea butter. If you order it (I go for the 1 lb sample), know that it's not scented, and it looks weird, like a block of mud or something. I microwave mine to melt it and then press it into a pan, let it cool, and cut it into bars. It's all totally natural, and the company that I mentioned above is really cool--you can read about it on their web site.
yay for black soap!
oh--I use it for face, body, and hair.
