im sorry, what is "exposed skin" ?

Anyone else finding that the cold weather is bringing on oiliness in their skin aka pimples!?

yaa- i never break out- but for the past few weeks- i have and its making me depressed!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know what to do!

^ Go to your GP before it gets any worse...Have you been stressed alot lately?? Stress has alot to do with breaking out.

I have also been reading in the health mag, that primrose oil tablets help the skin because they try and balance the hormones out too, aswell helps with oily skin.
Zinc vitamins are also ment to be could for the skin,u only need to take one everymorning.
Am also trying to drink plenty of water and green teas.

NOOOO! That stuff tore up my skin. The toner is mainly alcohol base which is can be brutal on most skin types. Combine that with the other millions of products you have to use just made it awful.

If you squeeze a black head with your nails then yes you will get an enlarged pore. What you need to do is clean your face then pore steaming hot water in a big bowl and put a towel over your head and lean into about 20cm above from the steam. The towel over your head will act as a roof and keep the steam in. After steaming your face for 15 minutes, get some tissue and put each tissue over each finger that you are going to use to squeeze the black heads out. Then squeeze gently each black head and if a black head is not wanting to come out then leave it alone and try another time. Only do this 2 a week maximum.;)

omgomog thanks! but ihave a qs, so when i squeeze them carefully wuold i need to use something to rub it ior put my face in cold water to close the pores? or do i just leave them like it is?

but i guess ill never be able to see my blackheads as precisely anymore... since i got an eye surgery and my eyes are quite screwqed up.....i can see stuff but not things like blackheads no more...

i have another qs, if i leave my blachead just there and not do anythinga bout it. would it get bigger or d deeper?

thank god i know this =D

thanks a lot!!

:o I've expirimented with two acne aids lately. Proactive- and Clearasil Ice Wash. Proactive is expensive- and takes steps and you have to CONTINUE use after your acne fades. Clearasil Ice Wash is a new thing- they dont sell it everywhere. Cant find it at simple markets such as target or kmart- because "clearasil doesnt sell well" well i know its odd comming from a stranger and someone who isnt too experienced in this area, but everyone, try the Ice Wash. I've NEVER seen my skin this clear.
We can't find the Ice Wash anywhere in the States but we did find a reference to it's active ingredient - 2% salicylic acid. That's a standard anti-active ingredient which makes us wonder why it would make your face clearer than anything else you've tried. Unless you're used to only using benzoyl peroxide products. What have you used in the past?

Actually, I find that during the winter my acne tones down a whole lot more, dunno why. But during the summer when the heat comes, my acne gets soooo much worse:( anyone else find that?

Also, has anyone else find that their skin gets "immuned" to active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid? sigh, my skin is so hopeless...what makes it even worse is that everyone else in the family has got perfect skin and often gets complmented on :( *double sigh*

I have a lot of acne in my face,it' red and some of them is black. It's really make me frustated. Can someone help me?What kind of solution is the best for me?Is it true that diary product can cause an acne?I'm using Dermalogica right now,but i've been using itu for almost 1 month, but it didn't work very good. What should I do?And is it trus that acne is related with menstruation?because my period is not regularly...

Is it ok when i have a lot of acne liek this,i still wearing my make up everyday?Because without make up,i don't have any confident to go out..:(
I'm desperately need help,it's make me crazy...What brand of make up is safe for skin who have an acne problem?I tried Clinique,Estee Lauder,Chanel...is it true that make up is also cause an acne?
(I'm sorry ifor my bad english...just correct me if i have a mistake..THX)

^ hey there, don't be down, I have the exact same problem. I believe that it is okay to wear make-up over acne as long as the make-up are non-comedogenic ( it will say on the make-up) so they will not aggravate the skin and cause even more.
I don't know for sure whether or not make-up will cause acne, but make-up residue definitely will. So make sure you wash everything off every night really well. Other than that, I'm not too sure, sry :)
hope everything works out for u soon

I've been off Accutane for about 4 months; I still really scared that my acne will come back with a vengance...it all seems too easy for it to be totally gone. My dermo prescribed Retin A, but I've only used it once or twice...he told me to use it at the first sign of a pimple. I was such a product wh*re before, but now I don't know what to use cause I'm afraid that any change in my routine from when I was on Accutane will bring back the acne. Has anyone had any problems switching to other products after taking accutane? If you did switch, what products did you switch to?

I've never had major acne problems when I was growing up. But now, here and there I get a pimple or two. But usually when I'm near my period. I am a believer in what you eat. Healthy foods, healthy skin, healthy life. Junk food, junky face, unhealthy life. That's not always the case I know. It's more of a hormone thing. But whole foods, fruits and vegetables, the more you eat them I know that can help to alleviate some acne problems.

ester^^^ i use to have VERY bad acne, the kind that leaves craters in your face...and i bought a product from a website called www.skintactix.com
these products are AMAZING...they give ALOT of information about how acne happens and how it affects the skin, and they give you a detailed explanation to why their products work...you SHOULD REALLY TRY IT..i really think it will help you out...:flower:

hihi sweetiepie. i used to have really bad acne and I think it was actually caused by all the makeup and crap i was putting on my face. I started using Bare Escentuals (There's lots of other brands who make mineral makeup, too. Just watch out for oil, talc, and fragrance as those are the worst irritants.) and I get an occasional small spot but I never break out anymore. Plus, it looks better and more natural than any liquid foundation and usually comes with spf.:) Good luck!

wow, thanks everyone for all your advice. i haven't read every page but, so far, thanks to tatika, i will be trying the skintatix and acnefree, and thanks also to eurofashionjunk1 for the vitamin e advice. I'm a little scared to try the vitamin e oil though, since i am still prone to break-out. what do you think i should do dr. eurofashion? and for soon to be: retin-a has been really good for the maintenance of keeping my skin clear but i find it wasn't really effective when i had severe acne.
