oh and also, if any of you guys have like small whiteheads and blackheads that arent set too deeply into the pore (as in they havent been there too long) please try the Queen Helene mint julep mask..its AMAZING! and its like 3 bucks at the dollar store-i use to use this brand to maintain my perrty skin before it went psycho on me 3 years ago

You guys, eat onions for good skin! I'm serious. Raw onions contain sulfur and its super healthy for your skin.
Okay, I hate onions. Would it work to just rub them on my face? (sorta like lemons for freckles?) 'Cause that I would do.

I've never had really bad acne, only a few pimples but lately I've been getting alot more on my cheeks and not so much my forehead where they usually appear. The problem is that they just DON'T go away, or they take days and days and still leave a small red mark. I've been using 3 step lotions (can't remember the name atm) it's a Cleanser, Toner, then anti-oil lotion that I use once in the mornings and once at night just before bed. It worked SUPER well at the beginning but not so much now, can someone recommend me something else, something better for this problem? :p

no, no no!! That would be horrible.:yuk: I eat sweet onion with turkey sandwich or chop yellow onions with tomatoes instead of salsa, or just boil and make soup or something, it has the same effect basically. I should try cetaphil really, been hearing good things about it.

the exacttt same pronlem happened to me but has luckily left me within the last 3 weeks. so now i am perfectly clear other than the hyperpigmentation, but thats another story. i used "the regimen" found on acne.org the process just consists of a gentle cleanser, 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and a gentle lotion. and all of the recommended products can be found at any grocery store, so in total, the whole system should cost no more than $15-$20 and even though it sounds really simple and sketchy since all the products are so cheap, i absolutely owe my life to the system. i went from having around 8 active pimples on my cheeks to absolutely none. but it is very very important to follow the steps exactly because before i was using a 5% benzoyl peroxide and there wasnt much improvement until i started using the recommebned 2.5%
hope this helps :flower:

I do that too^ except I haven't been able to find a good lotion that won't give me little red bumps... i don't know if its more zits, or just a reaction.

I've used that regimen of benzoyl peroxide but found that it bleached my face slightly, (its lighter than my neck, body) and it also bleached the towels as well. Also, someone posted an article a few posts back of the harmful effects of bp. But, if it works for you..

OMG the EXACT same thing happened to me...it is SO FRUSTRATING!!!! and the worst thing is that whatever product you try, it works at first, but then your skin just sort of gets ammune to it, grrrrrr!
I've been using Cetaphil lately, and it has been working fairly well so far, getting rid of most acne...so maybe you should give it a try! All the best!

have you tried euricen or cetaphil? they seem to be the most recommended on the website

i think someone else posted about this before, but does anyone have any experience with AcneFree Scar Fade and Erase treatment?

i did..and i loved it..it like permanently plumped up my skin where i had craters and minimized the hyperpigmentation..and the pockmarked pores are back to normal size...and i had moderately severe cystic acne

Hmm....I think I'll try that. That's what happens with my skin, it becomes ammune to it and doesn't help at all. Thanks! ^_^

wow so if you use a new product at first it works wonder than it doesnt get as strong as it use to be and acne just emerges even if you still use that product? that sucks that means if yous tart off with a strong ingredienty ou would need a MORE strong one?!?!?

Can someone answer my question on what exactly is a blackhead and what comes out when you 'squeeze' it?

A blackhead (technically known as an open comedo) is a yellowish or blackish bump or plug on the skin.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackhead

When you squeeze it, normally this oily, yellowish substance comes out. It's like partially solid and soft and stuff. Kind of weird. Don't try it though!

I thought I couldn't use Proactiv, since I don't have acne just a few pimples on my forehead and here and there. I tried it on sunday (the Cleanser then Moisturiser) and the next morning my skin felt smooth, healthy and fresh and there was even quite a significant improvement so I continued using the product. It is now Tuesday and my skin is almost perfectly clear. I highly highly recommend Proactive, it works wonders.

Proactive is very fickle, it all depends on what your skin will response to. For some people salicylic acid works best, others benzyl peroxide. Proactive is benzyl peroxide.

for people using skintactix the green tea last mask thing is really grainy and how would i use it in the mornign wihthout my face being ggreen? the more i rub it in it dries up and rubs off in balls.

Make sure your makeup brushes are clean and use a single swab of q-tip to reach in and get your foundation. it will defenitly help your skin.

i just got my skintactix stuff! tonight was my first time using the regimen. babypeace, i was having the same problem as u, i realized dabbing a little water on ur fingers helps spread the poultice. tatika, thanks for suggesting this line, i hope it works!
