If you have no more acne and only acne scars left, then use the vitamin E capsule I recommend. After you clean your skin, rub on the oil for 5 minutes all over your face then leave it on over night. At the day time you could rub the oil on for 5 minutes and leave it on then before you go out wash it out and moisterise your face because dry skin will make your acne scars worse.

^ I forgot to say that after 2 months of doing that everyday, your scars will start to fade. One of my friends who did this said it can take up to a year for flawless skin...

hi eurofashionjunki! ive got a question...my main issue with acne now are the scars...and as u mentioned, the vitamin E capusle does make sense! so i am wondering how i can add this to my daily regime...i am using 0.1% retin-A cream at night daily prescribed by my derm...any suggestions?

also, what kind of scars does the vitamin E work on? my scars are the extremely annoying shallow pits kind? damnit! haha. also, thanks for all your tips! u are inspiring!!

Are you referring to the ice pick scars? Vitamin E helps any scars. But why are you using retin-A cream? Do you still have acne? If so, then I've afraid you cannot use Vitamin E until your acne disappears because you are not allowed to put oil on your face when you have acne.

But if your Retin-A was prescribed by your derm to get rid of scars then you can put the vitamin E on at day time as a moisteriser, but stay out of the sun.

An extra tip to get rid of the scars: While you are watching TV with a clean face and hands, gently keep rubbing in the vitamin E oil on your face for at least 30 minutes a day then wash off with cleanser (e.g. Cetaphil cleanser is the best from Pharmacy) if using retin-A at night.

Also if you have REALLY shallow acne scars then you would need some sort of treatment from our dermatologist, like augmentation or subcision. Before I have subcision and that really works.

hey! hhmmm. nopes, i dont have acne anymore...but i of cos still have the occasional pimple here and there...but the RetinA is more of like an upkeep? haha. and i heard RetinA does help scars realllllyyy slowwlyyy...i think that is why my derm prescribed it to me. on that note, will i ever be free from using RetinA?! im scared if i stop using it, all my acne will return! haha.

hmm. good suggestion about the Tv one! haha. especially with the amount of telly i watch! lol.

forgive my ignorance but what is subcision? did it hurt? and was it expensive? thanks once again junki! really appreciate it.

I HAVE I HAVE!!!!! that stuff is FABULOUS!! ive been on it for about a year and a half...and my skin is almost back to its origional "Liv Tyler" state..and mind you i had Sever Cystic Acne...horrible stuff..i love the products!! thats the only product ill put my name and reputation out for!! you know how some peoples face they get smalll small holes like a needle pricked their skin()big pores) appreantyl i heard that happens to people who like squeeze their blackheads out is that true? also does popping pimple cause those holes? theyre quite hard to play makeup with cause it makes it look BIGGER and it goes into the holes...but how are you suppose to get blacheads out if you dont squeeze them? =S

^ I've tried squeezing a blackhead once & i got a small hole (which I still have till now), but thank god its not noticable. That's y i stopped doing it myself. It's better to get it done by someone professional. I go for a facial once a month, and that has been keeping my face clear of blackheads.

i dunno if its true..but from personal experience...YES...when i first started breaking out horribly, i also got a blackhead/whitehead breakout on my forehead..and i STUPIDLY went and squeezed every last one..and theyre gone, but i have like tiny craters...

what i do know helps icepick-and little damaged pores like the afore mentioned is a product i buy from a drugstore company called University Medical. The link for the particular product is:http://www.acnefree.com/node/39

this helps at removing hyperpigmentation as well as the pock and pick marks.. fabulous stuff!!!

Hi Okay I don't know why your derm put you on Retin A as it does nothing for scars but just keeps acne away so keep using it as a mask only at night (white you are sleeping).

So basically in your spare time at home just keep rubbing in the vitamin E oil from the capsule and then wash off.

Subcision did hurt like pricks (someone pinching your skin). Basically it is little injections on your face. The pricks bleed very little and make the scars re-surface and fades away. You need to have this treatment every 3 months and for me in Australia it cost $250 aussi dollars (use www.xe.com to make it into whatever currency for the country you are in to find out how much it is about).

Altogether with everything I said in this thread it will take a year for all the scars to fade.

If you squeeze a black head with your nails then yes you will get an enlarged pore. What you need to do is clean your face then pore steaming hot water in a big bowl and put a towel over your head and lean into about 20cm above from the steam. The towel over your head will act as a roof and keep the steam in. After steaming your face for 15 minutes, get some tissue and put each tissue over each finger that you are going to use to squeeze the black heads out. Then squeeze gently each black head and if a black head is not wanting to come out then leave it alone and try another time. Only do this 2 a week maximum.

DON'T EVER EVER EVER SQUEEZE A PIMPLE!!! You will get a scar!!

What you need to do is clean your face then pore steaming hot water in a big bowl and put a towel over your head and lean into about 20cm above from the steam. The towel over your head will act as a roof and keep the steam in. how many times did u have to go get subcision done to get yr current flawless skin?

hmm. so a year of vitamin E capsules...and after that, subcision! that would most probably take out most of my scars yea? yay. haha.

I would do subcision first and a.s.a.p. and that would get rid of most of the acne scars...good luck xx
