The Acne Thread

I don't think we have the ice clreasil here but Ive bought one coz ive got some ingrows from shaving but so far its ****tt

I have to disagree again with you :ninja: I feel when I moisturise I rarely get any zits when I went through this period of not moisturising at all
You should have seen my skin =

I second that! I breakout terribly if I don't keep my skin moisturized. Moisturizing is essential; especially if you have acne because you're probably using drying products and need to replenish your skin's natural moisture.

I'm convinced that most people with mild to moderate acne would benefit greatly from a moisturizing regimen.

I've heard face masks are can help replenish congested/clogged pores...Any suggestions as to how effective this is, and if so what products may work? -preferably products that work with more sensitive skin...

i use evain face wash, and then i use chanel precision hydramax comfort cream. i have not had any signs of bad skin since.
fantastic stuff (both of the products)
also. i use boiling water to steam my face.

what is the most natural way to have good skin?

^ it's been posted a few times in this thread, even. those st. ives scrubs will only harm your skin.

^ the scrub is very rough on the skin. i know someone will probably be able to explain it better than i can but anyhow... the scrub itself can cut and scrape at your skin because the beads aren't smooth, they are rough and jagged, something like that. and scrubbing at your skin too hard is harmful.

^ i don't know if it will make you break out, but i have heard from countless people that it's horrible and rough on the skin. try something more gentle!

I use those scrubs (not St. Ives but other brands) quite frequently and it doesn't effect my breakouts. It may be bad for my skin but the oil buildup on my face gets so bad and... abnormal, that I have to exfoliate or else my skin gets really gross.

I have a question, which birth control pill is best for controlling acne? I've heard that Yasmin or whatever it's called is good but I'm not certain.

^ i think it's just st. ives that is said to have really sharp and jagged beads within the scrub.
