The Acne Thread

^ aww. i'm glad. :p but seriously, try the hope and a prayer powder and if it has no results, you can always return it back to sephora and get your cash back! :judge:

jojoba oil, in its purest form (which u can buy at health food stores) is great. it dries up pimples ovenight. dont know how it works but its awesome stuff.and no, its not really an oil-they just call it that becasue of its texture. it leaves no residue and seeps into your skin. its great for as a all-over bod/hair/scalp moisterizer.
if you go on google and type in Jojoba and acne, I thinkthere are some reviews from acne.org about it. Seriously, if you have mild to moderate acne it might be worth a try. Plus, it cheap, one bottle lasts for ever, and if it does not work on your acne, you can always use it elsewhere on your body.

^^ oh i have a bottle of that somewhere at home.

guys i have another dilema!

ive started getting pimples (not cold sores) near my mouth and nose,,,,, and i have a cold its really annoying it hurts when i touch it, but it gets in the way of me wiping my nose so i have to touch it.

I've been using Shu Uemura cleansing oil (the pink bottle) for about a week, along with a new foundation- Giorgio Armani shaping cream foundation. I am beginning to think one of them is making me break out. The foundation is supposed to be non-comedogenic and derm tested. Could it be the cleanser? What do you guys think?

Yeah, I agree with Voguelover94...time is a good indicator. I have heard that the cleanser you are using is really great, tried and tested, and is not supposed to break you out. so, having said that, I would lean towards the cream foundation. maybe even the combo itself might be too heavy for your skin?

I really hope it's not the foundation- it was expensive! I think I will go off the cleanser first- can anyone recommend a good one? A lot of people seem to like Dr. Hauschka- is there a good cleanser from that line for acne-prone skin?

^ i use their cleansing cream, but i've also heard great stuff about the cleansing milk! the cleansing cream is thick and smells a little funky, though.

ive learned never buy expensive foundation untill i know its not abd for my skin or wrong colour:blush:

I don't think now is a good time to try anything new. The same thing happened to me; I changed a bunch of my products all at once and my skin had a major freakout. I think the best thing to do is go back to whatever it was you were using before the breakout started. Once your skin has cleared, then you can add one product back. I would wait at least 1 month and if you're breakout free add the other :flower:

i'm in my early twenties and i still won't put foundation on my face. it's too thick and heavy.
