The Acne Thread

I think you either have to buy it online, or buy it from a Mary Kay consultant (which if you don't know any, then probably online would be easiest). :flower:

thank you!! :flower:

I feel like I'm gonna have a breakout in the next days. my face is itching  this might sound stupid, but I think I'm allergic to trains or something, coz I feel like I break out everytime I get back to uni from my parents and the other way round. maybe it's only due to stress, although I don't feel particularly stressed right now.

Hmm, recently (past few days) more of those skin coloured bumps tiny bumps have been popping up on my cheeks, I don't know what they are but this is worrying me now!
The only think i relly recently added to my routine is Lush's Enzymion moisturiser do you think it could be that?

Also, I really want to get the clarisonic skin care brush, I think you can buy it online in the UK so I might do that :)

I always get those flesh coloured bumps, usually on my chin, but now they've migrated to my cheek area and my chin is clear. I think they are hormonal, since I've noticed that they flare up during that lovely time in a girl's life ^_^ Have you ever had them before?

It doesn't sound stupid at all...This reminds me of myself actually. When I get grossed out (by trains especially) I get nasty break out (the wonderful red spot kind)...The human body is a strange thing :p

^^ ive had those times
during that time (that delightful time of month) i get some even more lovelier than normal spots :D

^ i sometimes get one before my time of the month, too, but just one and it's tiny and goes away within a day, thank god! that's the only time i've ever gotten a pimple at all, so i just deal with it and make sure to put something on it asap! i never have used an on the spot treatment, though. i feel like those will just dry up the pimple and leave me with an ugly spot!

so you think it's only because you were disgusted by something. that way it would only be mental, if I understand correctly?

lucky lucky girl! lol

you must have god sent skin if you apply baby oil on your face and have never broken out. :(
Not really, my skin is actually quite problematic. :( The baby oil I use contains a high amount of almond oil and vitamin e and no mineral oils, so that's probably why it didn't break me out.

^^Baby oils usually contain oil derivatives, for example paraffinum liquidum.
I'd never put such thing on my face, I'd break out immediately.

I just checked and my oil doesn't contain any of that and from what I found out via Google it doesn't contain anything else that could be bad for my skin either. I guess I just grabbed a good product for once. ^_^

Edit: I should add that on the bottle it says 'only natural ingredients - no mineral oil'.

that's exactly what i thought! thankfully, the baby oil she has is all natural because if not...:doh:

What about natural oils? Olive oil, almond oil?:flower: Pure antioxidants.^_^

I've used olive oil for my face and I have oily skin. I didn't get any breakout from it. In fact, it's dried some of my acne but I used it for the oil cleansing method and didn't leave it on for a long time.

Maybe, I don't know. I've heard several things about that, but I didn't have any problems with it.:flower:

Isa, check out the "Oil Cleansing Method" thread (OCM)...I think there's lots of information about natural oils you can use :flower:

Oh, I did, and OCM was amazing for me! I have to buy new bottle of ricinus oil.

B
tw, my acne break out (I posted a pic few pages back) almost disappeared. Thank you for all suggestions!
My skin is getting better now, thanks to Cleanance K and clay masks.^_^

In case some of you haven't seen this before, check that link, very informative.

A very good baby oil - Johnson's ® Baby Oil with Aloe Vera [soothing & moisturizing] & Vitamin E [brightening the skin]. Personally i use it as a makeup remover [i'm trying to stay away from any super duper chemical products].

I wanted to try the bentonite clay people were talking about a while back. I went to Capers (owned by Whole Foods) to see if they had it. I forgot the name and ended up buying "green clay" for oily or problem skin. Is this the same? Has anyone used this before?
