too bad that vitamin e face creams are made for very dry skin :(
my friend bought the body shop vitamin e face cream and praised it, but it's for dry skin only :(
mine's combination skin

Have any of you tried St. Ives' Apricot Scrub?

I've heard it's good but I'm not sure if I want to try it.

There's actually a thread for whether that scrub is good or evil. I have to admit to being on the evil bandwagon but you can look at the different opinions and make up your own mind. I personally don't like it because I remember it feeling scratchy (in a very bad way) and didn't think it was worth it to keep using it.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
Thank you for your opinion also!

For me I like St Ives Apricot Scrub.I didn't find it aggrivated either my face or on the rest of my body. I think I used it once a week on my face

Only time I used it was at a friend's house. My spots looked awful afterwards and for several days. Can't pin that all on this scrub though as other products were used. But still... hmmmm

you shouldn't use scrub on spots, especially rub them with it, as it will only irritate the skin, scrub is not recommended for problem skin
when I have spots, I use scrub on non-problem area only

No i wouldnt use the St Ives for problem skin.. You should really use exfoliators for acne at all which is why i use a wash with salicylic acid in because that exfoliates with out the harsh beads

Yeah... my friend made me, she was off on some sort of pampering mission. She's a stupid cow who I'm happy to have broken friends with.

I'm very interested in how much taking vitamins have helped peope's acne. I am thinking of getting Murad's Pure Skin Clarifying Dietary Supplement: http://www.murad.com/acne-pills-supplements.jhtml It has Vitamins A,E,C,B1,B2, Magnesium, and Zinc, among other things. For the last year and a half, I have been using 2 topical prescriptions for my acne, Retin-A and Duac, but I still struggle every single day with my face. I hardly ever have a day where I am very happy with how my skin looks.

Please let me know if anyone has had success with vitamins for acne :)

Apparently Silica is really good for skin hair and nails, you can take it in liquid or pill form and I dont think it has anything to do with acne but just your skin in general :)

I took different supplements/vitamins for skin some time ago, but it didn't do anything to my skin, I don't know why :( but it may be individual though

you can make it!
THE BASIC:
Step 1: Take 6 uncoated aspirin and break each into halves. Put in a small cup or a lid.

Step 2: Add 3-4 drops of warm/hot water, and use a stick to smush the aspirin around. If it's too dry and doesn't dissolve, add 1 drop of water at a time until it forms into a thick white paste.

Step 3: Spread thickly onto your face. Leave for 10-15 minutes. You'll know it's ready when bits of white powder start falling off your face.

STEP 4: As you wash it off with warm water, gently massage it into your skin. You'll feel your skin to be very smooth and even.

STEP 5: Pat face gently dry. You should be feeling radiant and soft!

fashionandstyle1-I've thought about using a similar type of vitamin called 'perfectil' but I'm a little sceptical. I'm already taking zinc which is supposed to be good for skin but I cant say its making any difference

That's hugely expensive. People seem to forget we get many of our RDA of those vitamins/nutrients from our diet.
I was drinking some Powerade yesterday and was surprised to read on the back that it provided me with 40% of my RDA of Vitamin E. And that was from some junky energy drink! More often than not, supplements are a rip off, unless you have a deficiency caused by an illness. ;)

My friend used Murad and really loved it! There's an ad for it at the side of this page right now lol
I've never used it before, but I have used Proactiv and like loads of people, I was disappointed and it didn't work for me.
