^ Thanks for your help and effort to check the shipping, I really appreciate it! :flower: Hope it'll help and wait to try it ^_^

There's definetly truth in your body working 'better' or however it should be worded in a routine. That doesn't mean I'm going to wake up on my days off though :p

Right now I'm using Neutrogena's Complete Acne Therapy System. I've been using it about a week now and I really see a difference in my skin and some of the spots from old pimples have started to fade using it with the Fight-n-Fade Gel.

Anybody else use this?

edit: Also, does using a moisturizer on top of sunscreen weaken the sunscreen at all?

i was wondering, is it possible for your skin to break out more if you sleep on your face? like when you're sleeping it's face down, with her face into the pillow?

thanks :)

^if your pillow case is kept clean and changed regularly then it should help but if you have a dirty pillow case its a breeding ground for acne.. I guess you need to let your skin breath during the night because that is when it repairs itself..

With getting up at a certain time depends on what time you go to sleep, if you get up at 6am but only get to sleep at 1am then it will make your skin worse.. Your skin starts to repair itself between 9pm and 10pm so i have been told to do my routine then

I am also battling outbreaks.

It's true about the pillow case. Another advice from my derm :

Your face towel needs to be changed everyday.
Even better if you use tissue paper (instead of towel) to pat dry after every wash.

air dry in my opinion is the best way to dry your face.

there is no contact whatsoever.

I liked Neutrogena's 2in1 clay mask/wash thing. Hmm

Ooh yes me too! Although mine has nearly run out :(

I'm ill with flu, like before Christmas, and I think my skin is starting to go back to how it was then, with the blisters under the skin

I'm going to try getting a prescription for Retin-A Micro this week. I don't really break out anymore but I've been left blotchy from past breakouts.

Retin-A really seems like a miracle drug since its been proven effective for acne, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and the long-term treatment of wrinkles and I've only read mostly rave reviews. The only problem I'm scared of is the initial breakout. I've heard that the IB can be really bad; giving you worse skin than before and lasting anywhere from 2 weeks-4 months. In the end, people always say it's worth it but I'm still terrified. Has anyone had any experiences?

^I've been using Retin-A for over a year now, and I don't really remember any bad initial breakouts...I might have had it but I don't remember. Unfortunately, I still struggle with my face all the time even with Retin-A, Duac and taking vitamins. I don't think Retin-A works for acne scars b/c I have quite a few red marks left over from acne from months ago (they aren't actual scars though). So anyway good luck with it!

My skin has never been that bad but sometimes I do get breakouts. I generally just cleanse tone and moisturize, but it's important not to use really harsh chemicals on your skin unless it really needs it - drying out your skin excessively will just cause your oil glands to produce more sebum and you'll end up getting more spots. Also avoid going on medication unless your acne is very very bad as it can have considerable side effects and getting off it without making your spots worse is difficult. I had a friend who went on some kind of acne medication and as a side effect he got manic depression - be careful!
Also bio oil is really good for scars

when I first started breaking out I used Proactiv. and after going through a million different products and seeing some dermatologists, I think Proactiv works best for me overall. I started using it again last night and I already see improvements on my forehead. I hope this keeps working! :D

Yay.

ProActiv was way too strong for me  but I'm glad it's working for you

Actually if acne doesnt go away for years(whatever 2 or 3) i think the only and one thing is Roaccutane.I use it for 3 months and im so happy..Also it has bad sides..but the effect is very good.. :)

I just bought Clarins Men Shine-Free Gel - supposedly helps with blemishes too."Helps prevent imperfections"
I just hope it's worth the high price tag..

hi, i wish i didn't know so much about this subject but a couple of tricks:

- Pernox is really old school scrub but it really works. I remember reading an article about Marcia Kilgore of Bliss in which she talked about her beginnings as a facialist... she had horrible acne so she wanted to figure out how to get rid of it ... that's how it all started! Anyway, she said the key is EXFOLIATION. And for that, this scrub is the best... it also has other acne fighting ingredients but isn't harsh.

- WATER ... seriously everyone on this forum drink 6-8 glasses of water a day for a week and let's meet back here and talk about how much better we look.

xo

I'm currently experimenting with coconut oil...applying on my troubled spots right before I go to bed and washing it off in the morning. It's been 2 days, haven't seen anything, but I'll keep you guys updated because supposedly this thing really works!

Water is good for the skin, and the body in general, but I don't believe it has had any effect on my acne.I have been drinking 2L+ of water every day for about the past 5 years and my skin has just gotten worse and worse.

I had good skin for the past 2/3 weeks I think, and i woke up yesterday to find 6 or 7 little whiteheads pretty much joined as one on the side of my nose :( Seperately they wouldn't be so bad but together they're really painful and it looks awful :(
