The City

i can't believe freddie has a gf and was bugging out about his brother harry talking to whitney. harry was far more attractive anyway!

I'm actually starting to find Whitney's life not as boring anymore.

honestly..when i'm watching any episode i literally skip every whitney's scene and go straight to olivia's ones..i mean wasn't the city supposed to be a little more "fashion based" show?? whitney is really a cute and lovely girl but how boring!!!!i really do prefer her on the first season...:( and now that roxy is...

Yeah I agree its a lot less about her work, although to be perfectly honest her work isnt that interesting anyway!

yeah, thats so true... i mean...I guess Olivia is truly stealing her thunder and she's not really making the effort to do so..she just has the spotlight, I loved her face -ironic smile- while she was being told to WORK properly lol...
Whit is like aw... yeah, the most interesting look she gave so far was when she said "I wanna die right now" on the disco.. WHIT there you have to start the dramaaaa thing! please! I guess Roxy already understood how this works..

Roxy Olin told us last night at QVC's Isaac Mizrahi Live! celebration at Stage 37 that she will star on another season of The City. Though Kelly Cutrone's best advice to her has been to "think before you talk," she didn't hold back when we begged to know why Whitney is attracted to someone as tan, shiny, and seemingly douchey as Freddie Fackelmeyer. The answers may not surprise you.

What is Freddie Fackelmeyer like in real life?
I'm not a huge fan. He's like a socialite. I can't really read him. Like, he's a nice guy. But I don't trust him. I mean, I think it's one of those things that once you find out that someone's been shady, you can't really look at them any other way.

Why is he so shiny and tan?
You know what, that's such a good question. I don't know. That's what I asked him when I first met him. Like, "Have you been in a booth for a while?" I don't know. I think he's been in a booth.

Does he have tan lines?
He has his tan pretty down. Like he's pretty clean. But it's a little orange-ish.
What did he say when you asked him about his tan?
I think he was used to girls being like "Oh, you're so cute," and I was like "Dammmn, you got really tan. Were you just in a booth or something?" And he was like, "No!"

Why do you think Whitney goes after those kinds of guys?
I think her being new in New York — he definitely has the scene going on. Like, he knows the cool, New York socialite scene. So I think being new here, she got wrapped up in it.
But you didn't get wrapped up in it, and you're new here.
No. I mean, I think it was different because I'm definitely more verbal about it. I think Whitney started to get a weird feeling about him, but she's so sweet, and loves to look at only the good. And she was missing out — to me — on an obvious negative.

Are you going to do another season?
Yes! It's almost 100 percent. Once we start filming, I'll be able to say 100 percent, you know? But as of right now, it's 100 percent.

When will they start filming for next season?

A couple weeks. It's crazy. But it's good. I'm bored. I want to get started again.

Do you really have a tattoo on your crotch?
I have a tattoo on my hip bone, but I was joking and they didn't show the humor in it at all in the editing room. But I'm glad you asked. It's not on, it's like right above. But I do. It's angel wings.

Were you upset with the way that part was edited?
I felt really bad for my grandparents. They liked last night's episode a lot. But afterward, I was like, "I'm so sorry about the crotch comment." But they didn't write me back yet.

What do you want to do with your life?

Can I think big here? I would die to be in a Quentin Tarantino film one day. That would be my lifelong dream. But I would also love to direct. I also want to work for someone in the jewelry industry. I love jewelry and I'm curious about that. And maybe one day do something with a restaurant — own a restaurant or something. I have a lot of things going on.

I don't think Roxy is that bad. She just looks like a b*tch, but I like how straight forward she is.

I like how straight forward she is too.. she seems like a fun person to be around.. except for Whitney. She needs to stand up for herself. I mean seriously, if I found out Fackelmeyer had a GF I'd go ballistic. Geez!

And love all the Olivia/Erin drama. Erin's a good girl, I like that she really cares about the job but it's hilarious to see them butt heads all the time.

I like Roxy now, after watching this last episode. I thing she comes of as b*tch, when she actually is only honest!!!

^^ Thats very true! It was so funny when Harry & Freddie were talking Freddie was like 'shes gonna punch someone in the face'

Yeah, Roxy does seem like the kind of person you can be around without keeping your guard up all the time. She seems like the "I'm not gonna backstab, I'm just gonna tell it to your face" kind. Though her eyebrows and lipstick color annoy me...

Same here :D

Lol it's so funny how Erin gets blamed for everything when she tries so hard to get Olivia fired.

I feel bad for Erin. She clearly earned her job and is knowledgble and professional. To be saddled with someone who's acts entitled, only got her job because of MTV, and is fairly incompetent at it must be frustrating. It's clear Olivia views her position as a glamour job and didn't expect to have to put in any actual work.

Whitney has been so unprofessional this season bringing her personal drama into the workplace. During the last episode right after Kelly ended the meeting she turns to Roxy and starts talking about Freddie. The fight during the fashion so was so unprofessional. Kelly had every right to be pissed.

While I prefer the City to The Hills -- which I don't even watch anymore honestly. I actually think MTV's new show Sty'd is even better. You get and actual look at the behind-the-scenes world of styling without all the staged drama.

Agree, I feel Roxy brings out the worse in Whit. Shes been so unfocused in her job this season which is not like her. I wish LC was on the city, the show would be even better.

i really do not like roxy... she better not jeopardize whitney's job. kelly loves whitney, i feel like roxy is going to ruin that. sad to hear she will be back for another season, perhaps she won't be as close to whitney though. one can hope....

I honestly don't see Roxy doing anything to Whitney. When she suggested Whitney talk to the woman from Bergorf's about her sketches Whitney did not have to take that advice as Kelly pointed out. Whitney continually brings up her personal business when they are at work. Also, it was Whitney who initiated the argument at the fashion show. Roxy is outspoken but I think her outspokeness is hurting her own career more than Whitney's since Kelly doesn't seem to appreciate Roxy mouthing off.

I actually kinda like Roxy. I like how she told off the Fackelmeyer guy. Whitney needs to stop being dumb enough to take Roxy's advice on things and start being more professional on her job.

^good point, i agree. yes roxy may have bad influence on her but you would expect from a 23 (?) year old to know when to take advise and when not

Yeah... Whitney is just too gullible. She seems to believe anything that's thrown her way. :/
