The Dark Knight

I've seen it twice already, I love it so much. when Joker says 'Hii....' to Twoface, (that's not a spoiler, right?)

I loved the scene in the hospital!
The audience was laughing so hard with what heath was wearing!!:D

I think y'all are forgetting that this is not Heath's last movie. His last movie is the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnasuss. :flower:

I doubt that movie will be finished, though. Poor Terry Gilliam, he's always got the worst luck.

I'd wager the reason why Heath's penultimate role has such press and notoriety is because the Joker is such an iconic character. And as far as the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is concerned, I guess we're reserving our judgment until we can see the final product (plus, in a way, the role won't be utterly Heath's like it was with TDK - if I'm not mistaken).

Brilliant. Well said. :flower:

Even in the car as I described the Joker to my brother, I got shivers. I am scared of the Joker. WHITE: Remember when that detective was supposedly killed and the officers gave him a round of applause, and the Joker started clapping in his cell? That scene there was the deturrent. I feared him. I respected him. It wasn't as if I looked at him and thought, "What a psycho." Not in the least. He had a respectable air about him. I really have no idea how he did it -Heath is obviously an irreplaceable actor with amazing talent and skill- but he got to me such much. I feared this villian that I was even afraid to walk in the dark to my bedroom from the office room.

My favorite scene WHITE: I loved when the Joker was walking out of the hospital in that nurse's gown and he hit one button and had the hospital blow up in the back. And then, that last button wouldn't work and he kept clicking it and looking up confused. Damn it, Heath. You know just how to do it.

I saw Maggie G talk on Direct TV's channel, and she said, "We watched him and said, 'Academy Award nomination right there.'"

Heath deserves that win. Brilliant. Absolutely. I don't even have the words. I have never been touched and so moved by a character like the Joker before.

GO. SEE. THE. MOVIE. NOW.

^Since you mentioned the scene...:shifty:

:flower: Dang it. I wanted to give you karma, Faith. If I could have, I would've given you karma 2,000 times total.

Just look at him. I'm just entranced. He just does that and it's brilliant.

Don't tell me you're not a little freaked out yourself.

Love the siggy too, Faith. So close to the beginning of the movie and you knew he meant business. No f-cking around you would say.

^^Indeed indeed...it's almost difficult to describe. What's more interesting about these animated gifs is that they make it seem like he never blinks (Which is quite unnerving).

Oh God. Deerlike, yours is deathly. Look at that unintentional grin and that glare. Love it!

WHITE WRITING: What was the significance of different stories for his scars? One, his drunk father and two, a crazy girlfriend drove him to it? I need to see movies at least twice before I can analyze them properly. It's not like I am going to sit in the theatre and try to have a good time AND analyze the elements of the film. Yes, it's a film, not a movie.

^I think the changing backstories were an indication that we would never find out anything "real" about him...he lacks identity and thus can carry out his deeds without much concern for anything in particular, and the mystery of it all keeps us guessing as well.

That's what a genius is good at. ^_^

Even though it was a short scene, I thoroughly enjoyed this part: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm628135680/nm0005132

Loved that scene. The expression on his face was beautiful. He looked so free.

Something about the way Heath played the Joker made him so incredibly appealing to me :shifty:  I liked how the character actually showed depth as opposed to the regular comic book formula of a psychotic basket case.

Although I wouldn't want to be around him if he wants to make that pencil disappear again :p
