Ok, so the wait is again for a full review of Vogue Italia, as usual. But I can tell you that whatever happens, the number one is leaving all the other girls behind her with a staggering ammount of points. Let me just say that the number 1 is at this moment at a whopping 711 points, which is a record from ever since I started this list, leaving the number 2 behind at 581 points. We seem to have a new editorial queen on our hands....I won't announce who she is just yet, but I think that this time it's not so hard to guess as last time

I don't include Kate Moss...I am thinking up a concept of successfully making an icons list...Kate will certainly be there. But there are some girls over who I am in doubt wether to include them on an icons list or on the general list. Like Guinevere, Liya, or Natalia...icon, or regular?

I wouldn't call Guinevere an icon, but I would certainly call Natalia, Lyia, Daria, Gisele, Kate, Amber, Linda, Stella, Claudia, Shalom ... icons ...

ETA - Lyia was the only black model to be MDC number #1 I think that's another reason to call her an icon!

Guinevere has always been a print model of the highest calibre. Natalia has done alot and got by through luck (like all models have) despite looking like a pretty socialite instead of looking like a good model. Liya has defied alot of odds, but she remained incredibly underrated even when she was at the peak of her career.
I personally don't consider any of them to be true icons....out of the three i'd probably go with Guinevere....she's upped the other 2 in terms of longevity and she was a very strong editorial favourite & was a muse for alot of top photographers back in the late 90's & early 00's....she seems to have returned to industry fully at the moment and it looks like she's picking things up from where she left off.

Liya & Natalia, IMO, certainly should be considered icons. Since i am not fimiliar with Guinevere's work, i'm not sure if she should be featured or the icon or regular list

Considering that Liya and Natalia are ranking with the "icons" on models.com, and considering that this month Vogue Italia's cover underline the "icon status" of Natalia, I think they have to be on the icons list...

Why isn't this pinned??? My goodness, the work that MR-DALE has put in to compile this list each month is amazing. I am ashamed to say that I never realized exactly what this thread contained....but now that I do I will visit it regularly to root for my favorites.

So...the wait for a review is endless and as was posted in that thread before it's a lot of celebs, Natalia's ed, a beauty ed with Erin H and reportedly one more editorial with an unidentified model. I am very tempted to give up the wait and just go ahead and post the list. If the missing model is ever to be identified I will incorporate that in May's list. Does anyone object?
