The Hair "Down There"

has anyone ever used an epilator 'down there' (since that's what we're calling it  )?

^i think if u look back a few posts, some people have mentioned it :flower:

thanks :) 'impossibly painful' doesn't sound good...but well shaving is a b*tch! this has to be better than waxing.

yeah but waxing is one short pain and using an epilator takes longer

that is true. although now i'm off uni i spose i have time to sit about in agony holding an ice pack to my crotch! haha. the cold wax strips aren't as effective as hot and they're both so messy. i know i don't have to do this but i really wanna try it..

umm yeah i epilate my legs i ventured into that 'area' needless to say the eyes were watering and i was muttering expletives under my breath.

i am trusting a proffesional to wax it for me maybe when i go all numb i will venture there again who knows.

yeah i tried wax but too messy as u said...

well good luck! :flower: let us know how it goes

hopefully getting the epilator sunday so i'll post an account of my agony for sure :D maybe i'll do it when everyones out then i can scream without causing alarm!

xmodel, it depends where you live in general. A big city = more expensive. Calibre of salon is all relative. I wouldn't go to some hole, that's for sure. I try and find something that is close to where I live and decently priced, I don't think it makes a big difference if you go to J Sisters or some mid-priced but good salon tbh. When I make an appointment I ask specifically for the best person there. Usually you can tell by the receptionist's answer if the person is good like "oh I'll put you with person X, she's great!"

edit: Well perhaps I spoke too soon. I just returned from a visit and not to get graphic but, it left much to be desired. Since I'm in Canada at the moment, I had to go somewhere new (which bites because the woman I normally go to in London is amazing). So went in this morning and when I booked they asked whether I wanted a partial or full (brazilian) and I asked what they considered the difference. She said full is everything gone, partial is some hair left so I chose partial because I didn't want everything gone. Then went I went this morning the waxer told me what she considers a partial to be, which was basically a sort of extended bikini line by the sounds of it. So i clarified what I wanted and that's fine. So she gives me a mirror (I hate when they do this it's like um.....yeah) to make sure everything is okay because near the end she can't really tell whats going on (like that's reassuring) and she was going to tidy things up a bit. so i assumed what i saw she was going to tidy up but anyway, she only did one or two more strips and then was like i'm done and after she left i sat up and sort of checked and it's really.....uneven. So anyway, i was like whatever, that's fine, I just won't come here again if she can't even tell such major discrepancies but to rub salt in the wound, they charged me for a full and of course I had to tip her. I know I could have said something but I always feel uncomfortable saying like 'well don't charge me for a full when it's not done properly! would you like to come see?!' and i can't go back in there because even if she had the time (which she didn't, she had an appt. after me) I'm sure she would be none too pleased about it. She was good in terms of pain quotient but I'm going to have to find somewhere better I guess.....

Have any men experiance with waxing? I have been shaving for a couple of years now, but it bugs me that it grows back so fast and the skin looks a bit red after shaving. Also, I have this strip of hair growing from my belly button to my genital area that really bothers me. I shave this like every other day, because even the stubborn does bother me.
I've been looking into those hair removal creams, but I put a little bit on my hand and it gave me a burned feeling on my skin afterwards. And that was one that said it could be used on the genital area's.

Don't be silly, 'snail trails' are really sexy. They're simply guiding people where to go ;)

^exactly! my bf has it and i think its extremely sexy!
unless u shave/wax all ur pubic hair off then it might look a bit silly if u leave it

I third that, i find it extremely sexy aswell, metrosexuals kind of turn me off....when a guy is shaved from head to toe and his skin is as smooth as mine, then we have a problem, because i like my men just how they are, of course i wont discriminate if some things are a little cared off, but not OTT.^_^:p

^i agree, each to their own but i wouldnt like it on mine

Haha, well, problem solved then!

but if you really that insist, you can try bleaching. that shall work. but if ur tummy is soft (like me, again), maybe a hair remover work better....
