Omgish this is so embarassing but yet I'm proud at the same time for saving money and an embarassing trip to LA from the OC. I did my OWN Brazillian wax with a 5 step kit of Austraillian hard wax and it was wonderful. I'm completely bare and it didn't hurt THAT much.

What was the name of the wax you used?

I shave down there. I found this great shaving cream that works wonders, which is made for shaving your whole body (and also doubles as a conditioner! haha).

May I ask what the name of this shaving cream is?

i dont bother shaving unless i no im gonna get sum..LOL..but yea.... i hate shaving though becuase I have really think hair...and i think i was born with ingrown hair down there too..so waxing would be really painful... the roots are huge.... ive never waxed...but i'll probably bleed.

I'm pretty sure it's Louise Pedersen. She and Carmen both did that Gucci campaign.

It's not about being hygenic melanchonika...the majority just think it looks and feels better...you could be totally hairless there and still not be 'hygenic' it hasn't got much to do with the hair.

If I shaved my legs every other day it would absolutely kill my skin...I'd get tonnes of red bumps etc, and it takes me wayyy more than a few minutes to do all of what you mentioned. Roll on savings for laser hair removal

thats true. i suppose though for me at a young age i became very uncomfortable (for myself) with how too much hair down there can contribute to collecting sweat......body oils etc. i know for me, i can tell i feel and seem much more 'hygenic' when there is less hair down there. i guess it takes me about 5-7 minutes........i dont think that is too bad to cover all shaving areas :p

when i shave, i use a moisturizing soap, and LATER extra well-not watery at all. then apply baby oil with aole very generously..and i dont get bumps and/or redness. but i know everyone is different.

I always condition "down there" before shaving and shave once a week with regular old shaving cream. Works like a charm.

^ I've started conditioning down there, too... but do it just to make that area softer... great idea for the shaving, though... :)

Ehh.. the thought of a razor being anywhere near there terrifies me. Get waxed. It hurts but it's worth it.

What about numbing sprays? Why is this not common in salons?!

I shave. Fast and easy and I'm not prone to ingrown hairs so I'm good to go. My fiance does the same :D

I asked my waxer the same but I don't remember what she said... something about it taking longer... or something. Sorry, it was during the waxing so it's all a bit hazy.

But I know you can buy the numbing spray yourself--which is what I'm planning to do next time..

yes think numbing spray beforehand at home might be a good idea. Such painful memories

^ I've never even heard of a numbing spray!?

urm..there is such thing as numbing cream... i saw victoria secret show on tv..and they showed naomi campbell goin to her favourite salon..where she got her brazilian bikini waxed done..n she says how they have this numb cream...makes it painless
