The Hills

The card reading brought the lulz for me.

And do Heid and Lauren REALLY MAKE UP?? OMG!!! lol

when does this season start ?

i was just coming to post the link to the preview, but it seems like its already been done

i havent been in this thread since the finale of last season :lol:

Ahhh! I'm not into the show anymore, but still love Lauren and Lo. The new season does look interesting. The reason the City doesn't work w/Whitney as the main is because unlike Lauren, she doesn't seem a natural in front of the cameras nor do we see more than one emotion from her (she just always looks confused).

I hope this season focuses more on Lauren and less on Audrina and Speidi because it is supposedly a show about her life.

i havent watched the City since the second episode.

I loved Whit on the Hills, but her own show?
shes a little too boring for me

whereas the Hills always has Spencer/Heidi, which is just pure entertainment

This is not the 5th season but some bonus episodes... wonder if they will just wrap up the series with these episodes. Anyways, the city is getting better... still not as good as the hills used to be. Not sure if I will watch anymore... I say that everytime and always end watching:lol:

'The Hills': Exclusive trailer, series returns in late March

Good news: "The Hills" returns next month, and we've got your exclusive first look at the trailer for the new episodes (MTV says this isn't Season 5; these are Season 4 bonus episodes.) We've also got details from the network about what you will and won't see on camera.

But first, the trailer!

(you can see the trailer in the video section of the board)

Holy moly! Lauren and Heidi crying and hugging? Reunited for real? Spencer beating someone up? Draaaaaaama! Leave your thoughts below. As for your other spoilers ...

Lauren's real-life beau, actor Kyle Howard (TBS' "My Boys"), will not be scripted in, ahem, featured, in the series. "But why?!" we cry. Earlier this month, the two had what sounds like a pretty dramatic blow-up on the dance floor at Hollywood hotspot Teddy's that ended with Lauren fleeing in tears. The pair was also photographed together at her masquerade-themed birthday party in Las Vegas. Why don't we get to see all that?

Oh, we could guess for several reasons, but according to "Hills" executive producer Liz Gateley, you won't see Howard because he's not essential to the season's narrative. "The new episodes really focus on tying up relationships of the past," she said. Hmmm, cryptic. We can only hope this does not mean the return of Stephen Colletti, who you can see starring as Taylor Swift's love interest in the music video for her single "White Horse," or worse, Jason Walher.

Gately's words sound omnious, don't they? Like we might even possibly be heading toward a series finale?

Stephanie will step in as Lauren's new Whitney at People's Revolution. Yes, Spencer's sister has gotten a job at Kelly Cutrone's People's Revolution. It makes sense. Who else is there to make the "Oh!" face for all of Lauren's drama during the day.

Lo will be a working girl, too. She'll get a job working for Davis Factor (grandson of Max Factor) at cosmetics powerhouse Smashbox Studios. All of that time on the sidelines is finally paying off for Lo!

Bromance, rekindled! Let's let out that sigh of relief all together. Brody and Spencer are back together.

Lauren and Lo's $11,000-a-month Hollywood Hills home is available for lease, so expect yet another moving day episode. But don't fret: The best friends forever are still roommates, says MTV.

And as for Speidi ... We know there's a brunette bartender now in the picture. Will we see an actual wedding? Followed by a messy divorce? We can only hope.

No definitive air date has been set for the premiere, but MTV says the show will return to its Mondays-at-10 timeslot.

"The City," the "Hills" spin-off starring Whitney Port, ends its first season March 16 at 10 p.m.

I will say this though... another Speidi breakup that is obviously fake for the camera is just priceless... these two have no shame:lol::lol:

I don't even knwo what to think
But LOOOL at Spener beating someone up
I love this show,I can't wait because (I'm sorry to say this but) The City sucks Big Time.

From Seventeen:

How have you changed since the first season? Honestly, it’s difficult for me remember what I was like before I had a mic taped to me. But I think I’ve become a little bit more independent and not quite as.. I don’t want to say it, but pathetic. There are episodes that I watch when I actually annoy myself. I just want to be like, Get it together!

Do you think you’re a drama queen? No. I think that there are times when I get caught up in the drama and I get upset. I can be a little sensitive to thinks, but I don’t think I ever wake up in the morning intending to cause problems. I think that there are definitely people who thrive on drama and they enjoy it. They need to keep their lives exciting. I’m happiest when I’m boring.

What do you think is next for Heidi and Spencer? More music videos? Ha! I don’t know. I do believe they plan to take over the world.

There are so many people who think it's all fake. Yeah it's partly fake because they need to reshoot things etc but the main story is real. everything they say is real and I believe nothing is scripted. All that drama and crying... Even if they were actors, they couldn't act THAT well!

I dont know.. some of the stuff Lauren says sometimes seems like it was written and over-rehearsed.

Lauren is leaving ‘The Hills’ to ‘stay sane’

‘I wanted to walk away from it while it’s still a great thing,’ she says

Lauren Conrad is leaving "The Hills." “I gave MTV a deadline and said, ‘This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.’”

Updated 5:24 p.m. ET, Wed., Feb. 25, 2009

After five seasons of “The Hills,” the cameras and semi-scripted encounters will stop for series star Lauren Conrad, a decision she made to keep her sanity intact.
“My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it’s still a great thing. I always want to remember it that way,” Conrad told Seventeen magazine in its April issue. “I gave MTV a deadline and said, ‘This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.’”
“Honestly, it’s difficult for me remember what I was like before I had a mic taped to me. But I think I’ve become a little bit more independent and not quite as… I don’t want to say it, but pathetic,” the young star said of her growth during her time on the MTV series. “There are episodes that I watch when I actually annoy myself. I just want to be like, ‘Get it together!’”

And while fans of the show might think otherwise, Conrad does not consider herself a drama queen.
“I think that there are times when I get caught up in the drama and I get upset. I can be a little sensitive to things, but I don’t think I ever wake up in the morning intending to cause problems,” she explained to the mag. “I think that there are definitely people who thrive on drama and they enjoy it. They need to keep their lives exciting. I’m happiest when I’m boring.”
Gossip Web sites and fan blogs have buzzed with the drama surrounding her rumored relationship with actor Kyle Howard, someone Conrad will not call her boyfriend.
“He’s a friend. I’m a fan of labels. But, girlfriend doesn’t always look good on me. Ha!” she said.
“My last boyfriend, Jason, and I lived together after two months! And it’s not like I want to date other people. It’s just that I’ve done the rush job, and it doesn’t turn out well,” Conrad continued. “It’s important to take a long time to get to know someone before you fully commit yourself to them. The best relationships are kind of like friendships.”
Speaking of Conrad’s friendships, she said even though “The Hills” appears to be coming to an end, her friends all have big plans on the horizon.
“Audrina wants to act. Lo wants to host TV shows. Whitney has ‘The City.’ I’ll have more time to write. I’ll have the clothing line to focus on more. And I’m really interested in working behind the camera and producing,” said Conrad, who is penning a series of novels based on her life.
According to the former “Laguna Beach” girl, she and Audrina Patridge have mended their friendship.
“It’s taking work, but I think we are going to be fine. I think the thing is that no one can really understand what we are going through except each other,” she said. “Whitney is in New York, Heidi and I don’t speak, so Audrina and I really have to depend on each other at times, because we really understand what the other is going through. When we’re not speaking, it’s really difficult for both of us.”
As for Conrad’s sometimes foes, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Conrad thinks they’re not going anywhere.

“More music videos? Ha! I don’t know,” Conrad said with a laugh when asked about the duo’s “post-Hills” plans.
She added, “I do believe they plan to take over the world.”

Fifth season of 'The Hills' returns March 30, may not be its last

Lauren Conrad may be leaving "The Hills," but that may not mean the end of the show. An insider is now saying MTV is contemplating continuing the series with the existing cast of glam Angelenos -- Audrina, Brody, Heidi, Spencer, et al -- sans Conrad.
Her final 10-episode fifth season -- yes, MTV has now nixed calling the last batch "bonus episodes" -- is set to return on March 30 at 10 p.m.
How "The Hills" goes on without her is anyone's guess. Conrad, after all, has been the center of all things "Hills," getting romanced, backstabbed by her friends, reunited with old ones and disappointed by all, over the course of the last four seasons.
Then again, Heidi and Spencer work overtime to make sure the series has stayed in the headlines, and it's not unthinkable to imagine the show re-focused on them. Audrina and Justin Bobby? Not so much.
Whatever the case, "The Hills" will undoubtedly send Conrad off with a fond farewell.
"Fans first fell in love with Lauren when she was just 17 years old and a high school senior in Laguna Beach," executive producer Liz Gately told us. "For the five years that followed, Lauren allowed MTV to follow every aspect of her incredible journey in life. We watched her grow into an adult on 'The Hills,' from her first real love to finding a career in fashion to difficult times when friendships unraveled. It is bittersweet, but I understand why she is saying goodbye.
"I will be forever grateful for all that she shared with us and am incredibly proud of the television we made together."

Would you guys still watch the show w/out Lauren? First Whitney, now Lauren (and I'm sure Lo will leave with her) is confirmed by MTV to be leaving - the two most likable girls on the show. I for sure won't be watching. Who will be the protagonist? Audrina? She Pratt?

^ I for one won't be watching. I only tune in now to see Lauren. I could care less about the others, honestly.

I will quit the hills once Lauren is done...

I really hope she would do another season and end in December with the rest of the cast. I mean it is her spin off... it should end with her, right?

Plus, Lauren still needs time in the spotlight with the show to promote her clothing line and book serie. She has not been able to get any eds or cover of legit fashion mags (except Cosmo) that would introduced her to an older demographic. She remains in that tween demo... but then again Lauren has not shown that much interest in high fashion... maybe that is the case. Nicole Richie was able to promote her jewelry collection in both Bazaar and Instyle... it would be nice to see Lauren get that kind of recognition before leaving the spotlight.

Anyways, It will be sad to see leave even though I understand her choice:(

she doesnt even seem to promote her clothes much even though she said she was wearing them in the episodes.. I'd love to see that aspect of her actuly creating her lines.. I wont watch it without her I dont think, I really like Audrina but it would just be weird without lauren on the show, shes always the centre of everything in the show so it would be weird to try explain things without showing her

Lauren has definitely gotten a lot more likeable since the show first started. In the first season she seemed really clueless and immature but now she seems really pulled together. I wish MTV would let The Hills evolve and actually show more of her professional life, but I think they're trying to do that with The City whereas Lauren is supposed to be the girl next door and The Hills is supposed to be more relatable for viewers, which sucks because Whitney has no personality at all. If anyone should've gotten a spin-off, it's Lo.
