The Hills

The hills wont be the same without LC!
Actually The Hills will be useless without Lauren :ninja:

Lauren is gone so the show should stop period.Brody already got a spinoff and it sucked.I don't think that MTV will give Heidi and Spencer their own show.Because they know what a joke these two are.And Audrina is too boring to pull off her own Tv show.So Lo should definitly get her own She's the only one that I'm interested in.I could care less about the other, the're so fake and boring .....

Yep, I join the club which thinks The Hills would be useless without LC. I mean no matter how much I love watching the sunny LA and like the songs in the show, I really don't want to listen to Spencer & Heidi's craps...

Let's face it. This show is done. You could have felt it during the 4th season. I understand they make money from it but now that Whitney is gone plus LC is about to leave... Come on, just simply finish it before it gets way too pathetic...

I think Lauren leaving has been a long time coming. I used to be a HUGE fan of the The Hills, I still watch every episode, but I'm not dying for each episode to air like I used to.

The entire last season was pretty blah. I feel it's too contrived and there's too much hidden. I'd like to see Lauren's real life - her fashion line, her boyfriend etc. I'll still watch it after she goes, but to be honest I don't see it lasting longer than a season.

god i hope stephanie pratt isnt going to be the main character...

I couldn't agree more...

LOL! That would be awful.:yuk: Can you imagine if they continue with the show even after Lauren leaves? It would be centered around ShePratt/Audrina/Heidi because I can't imagine Lo wanting to be on the show after Lauren's gone.

MTV is stupid to continue the Hills without Lauren. The show was created for her and should end when she leaves. If they think the other people can bring in ratings w/out Lauren, which I highly doubt they could, then create a new show for them.

I heard Lauren's going to be on the season finale of The City. She'll be giving Whitney advice (I think over the phone).

Question:
Why exactly is the show called "The Hills". Is this because of the landscape or maybe Beverly Hills has something to do with it?

Lauren Conrad is done with reality television...for now, at least.
"Reality TV, as in a show like The Hills? I don't think I could do it," Lauren confessed at Barbie's 50th birthday bash in Malibu. "Never say never, but at this point I think I'm ready to step away and do my own thing."
She just finished filming last week, but said she's been as busy as ever since cameras stopped rolling.
So what will she miss least about doing the hit MTV show...and will her roomie Lo Bosworth be leaving the show, too?

While L.C. says she'll miss the crew she worked with, she won't miss the constant camera presence.
"I get a little bit more privacy back and be able to make mistakes and not have to deal with the repercussions of my decisions [on-camera]," she said. "I'm going to keep a few things to myself."
Like her relationship with boyfriend Kyle Howard?
"You're making me blush! He's very sweet," she answered, when asked about her favorite thing regarding her actor beau. "He's a good guy."
Lo said she'll still be a part of The Hills, but they won't be filming in the new Westwood apartment they just moved to.
"We don't want Star Tours to come by anymore!" Lo explained of the decision.
And, at least for last night, L.C. and Lo seemed to enjoy not having cameras on them as they took shots and sipped white wine at the party.

I can't imagine Lo wanting to be on the show after Lauren's gone.

I never onced believe that Lo would leave the show if Lauren is no longer part of the cast. I think that Lo is just like Heidi and Audrina... she's just using her relationship with Lauren to further her career. She is just not as shameful as they are... yet. It was so convenient for her to come back to Lauren's life once the hills took off big time... and she is at every red carpet event posing with Lauren a la Audrina and Heidi before her.

Kudos to people like Whitney (who is an ultimate class act) and even Stephanie Pratt... at least they did not ride anyone's fame for their 15 minutes.

Anyways, once season 5 is over... I don't think I will even care to read an article about the show let alone sit through an episode. It sucks that MTV will have the show end is such crappy note.:ninja:

She was on the previews. How great I miss LC and Whit together!

Interesting article...
'Hills' star inks deal with Mark Burnett

"The Hills" has lost another resident.
Audrina Patridge is leaving the show after its upcoming fifth season, exiting MTV's popular soap for a new deal with Mark Burnett Prods.
Burnett's proposed new series will follow Patridge's personal and professional life. The show will be pitched to networks starting next week.
"We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett said. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."

Patridge's exit follows the recent announcement that "Hills" star Lauren Conrad is likewise leaving the series. With "Hills" performers' contracts up and Conrad and Patridge out, there's speculation that MTV will either end the show after next season or at least give the show's cast and focus a significant shake-up.
"We cannot confirm a sixth season at this time," an MTV spokesperson said when asked about Patridge's departure. "However, 'The Hills' will continue as long as there are stories to tell, and as of now we don't see an end in sight."
Without Conrad and Patridge, "The Hills" is just not going to be the same show. Perhaps instead of doing a Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spinoff, as long discussed, perhaps the couple will take over "The Hills" brand. Given the show's ratings, MTV is probably reluctant to let the show's title get retired, even without its lead performers. The 10-episode fifth season of "The Hills" premieres March 30.
Burnett will exec produce the new project; Patridge and Gladys Gonzalez are attached as producers. Patridge is repped by APA, Gonzalez of John Carrabino Management and Larry Kopeikin.

It's going to be interesting to see how things are going to go down. Thats a big move by Audrina... I don't think she can carry a show but Mark Burnett is a pretty smart dude and has had much success in the field of reality tv... maybe the supporting characters will be able to make her show interesting... I guess its going to be more like the Kardashian show...

My guess is that the hills were already ending... it was probably too costly to continue to produce the show (given the salary of the cast) and the ratings had taking a dive in the 4th season (though 3 millions is still pretty good for cable).

It was a good move by Audrina to change to a smaller agency that would focus more on her. She has lined up some acting roles (however mediocre they might be), she's a spokesperson for a Jeans line and now this new reality show. Her post-Hills life appears to be more promising than Speidi...

I'm just curious to see which show will be more popular, "The City" or Audrina's new show ...
And the moment when Heidi&Spencer take over The Hills would be the moment when I stop watching the show. That would be like an apocalyps.

Wow, that picture up there is actually a really good picture of Audrina

Watched "Live with Lauren" on MTV last night. They showed a lot of clips from the upcoming season. I'm interested to see how they end the season, since it's Lauren's final one.
