The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

hye park - i couldn't really think of ones that came in white but smashbox and lorac come to mind as ones who might have white

or you could do eye makeup primer, a really thick matte white shadow, and then a shimmery cream or gel eyeshadow (the kind that usually come in tubes) on top since those are easier to come by.. :flower:

i love this

i absolutly  this can someone please tell me how to get this look...and is it all eyeshadow or did they use colour liners ?

Cheers pink for everything, I'll certainly keep an eye out for them^_^ Dior and YSL do a liquid-ish eye makeup, so I'm gonna check them out

Whoops, sorry Hanne  I got the picture from the 'Asian Eyes' thread. The image is from make-up alley :flower:

Does anyone know how i can do 60s make up..a bit of a cat eye? I only have liquid eyeliner..can i achieve that look?

Is this what you want?
  1. To create your liner, use a black kohl or pencil liner for a softer finish, keeping the line as close to your lash line as you can - tapering the inner corner away to nothing, and extending and sweeping the liner across your lid, getting thicker over your pupil area, and tapering your winged end up toward your temple - the line is winged, defined and not too thick. A sharper pencil is easier to work with, and will give your line a more defined edge.
  2. Line the inner rim of your bottom lid with a white, pale pink or pale blue pencil.
  3. Mascara is layered (2 - 3 coats) on the outer edges of your top lashes - move your wand in the direction of the winged liner to emphasize the finish.

can any one tell me how to get this look..especially the eyes..:innocent: i can never get that crease part right...it looks like i got punched in the face.lol

As for the suggested dark blue e/s I recommend MAC Plumage, almost black bluish-green. Get a good eyeshadow base like Urban Decay Primer Potion or MAC Paints/Shadestick

You can use a foam or brush applicator (as both work for me at least), take some e/s and apply it in the middle of your lid, so that you can blend the shadow evenly over the whole lid. Apply shadow directly until you reach the crease, from there just blend it up and don't apply it directly there cause it's easy to add color, but if you take too much you have to take it all off...

Get a good bronzer for the cheeks like Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder, there are 4-5 shades to choose from (depending on the undertone of your skin)

Can someone give me a recommendation on the eyeshadow?
And also how to achieve this ' golden glow ' ?

Talking of the most radiant face of all radiant faces, how do I achieve Bianca's look?

From Bianca's thread

^I think Dior has a highlighter that will give you a look very similar to Bianca's. Can't find a pic, though...

Try doing a search for smokey eyes Ida - I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot of descriptions there :flower:
