The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

kimkhuu I think the colored part you see, the blue-ish and purple tones around her eyes is just the light reflecting badly on her dark circles from maybe a wrong shade of concealer (I think it's too light and the camera picks it up wrong). What she does have is just the most basic smokey eye imaginable. Just a black eyeliner all over her lid and inner eye, smoked out through the crease with a soft matte dark brown eyeshadow in the centre of the lid to give it some dimension.:flower:

No problem..but please keep in mind that I'm no expert:innocent:But I also like looking at ppl recreating makeup looks even if the outcome isn't a 100% the same which I guess it would never be it's nice to see how other ppl interpret a look and how they do it just for the sake of inspiration;)

^sevenweekslater, it looks to me like she used a black kohl eyeliner blended into a dark grey shadow, with maybe a bit of lighter grey shadow on the edges

Tried out this recent Scarlett Johansson look. Used a beige shimmer on the lid, shaded with deep brown and black and used the Loreal HIP gold eyeliner on the inner corners.

at the moment I am in love with English Rose beauty, the type that appears in merchant ivory films, the lazy long Edwardian afternoon type of beauty, like Helena Bonham carter in 'room with a view' (sources - http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/24800730.html) and (http://www.helena-world.com/?p=47[/url) anyone know how to achieve a similar look with makeup?

Thanks guys!
I guess you could try one of those lotions with a little bit of gold color and glitter. I know Nivea and Dove used to have lotions like that. If you already have a tan I think it will look fairly good, but not as gold colored as in the picture you posted:(

wow that make up is so pretty on her blue eyes. wish i could see a hq.

colours i'd use are mac woodwinked or amber lights all over the lid blended upwards over the crease and on the outer corners of the lower lid. a gold shade on the inner corners of the eye but not extended to the lower lid. then plenty of black mascara and no liner :)
