i really like this last house ^.. the walls and use of columns to separate "rooms"
and hanging unique textiles to the walls

seems to be normal in certain cultures for decorated textiles to be hung on walls.. my friend in portugal has a tapestry with an old piazza scene on the wall and i know someone from mexico with some interesting printed fabrics with shisha mirrors on the wall as well
but i have never seen this done in people's homes in canada unless it was a sort of traveller, collector type of person

I have always wanted a loft or warehouse style place but theres not many around here to buy. I just love the open spaces in them

Yeay i would really love to have something like this where my bed is now.. and when that bed is gone the whole room seems bigger, because the bed is so big

I think you can do something like this by having a 'loft bed' or 'platform bed' built or installed into this space - place your mattress on the platform. A ladder can extend from the platform to the floor in an out-of-the-way position, such as along the side of the wall. The platform can also be made long enough to place books and a small lamp in the corner where the platform installs at the corner of the space.

Your idea of the desk and the wall of art can be easily placed underneath the platform bed.

From www.taschen.com ... they have a great series of interior/exterior style books with different locations and cultures represented, lots of inspiration in this books. :flower:

^ i love that attic bedroom; so magical! the preview option for books on taschen is great.

I know, it's so dreamy, would love to sleep up there! And yeah I like how you can preview the books as well, however I don't think they always pick the best preview pictures, as some of the books have much better photos to choose from, in my opinion. ;)

I love the suspended boat.. I guess if one does not have a big enough room for one.. one could perhaps suspend it like a hammock in the garden..

thanks for posting!! the view you get from that third room is just amazing

I wish I had that much space to work with =/

Aw, I'm so very happy you all like the photos, and thanks also to everyone who gave me karma for them.

And in regards to that boat sofa, that's one of my favorite pieces, and it's funny because I've often thought an old boat like that one, would make a cool bed. But I never thought of cutting it like that and making a sofa. Love how it's suspended too! ^_^
