Guys, I'm getting a bargain opportunity on this coffee table from B&B Italia, but I'm ambivalent. What do you think about it (the one in the background)?

as Faust had showed once before a table by B&B Italia for a great price, I was wondering if anyone knew of someone / some place selling B&B Italia / Maxalto furniture for a good price?

Thanks!

I'm thinking of getting this for my apartment (it's from maxalto)
I love the simplicity of it, and find it extremely gorgeous.. however, at the same time, I wonder if it's too simple?...

let me know what you think! thanks

I'd skip white for practical considerations. But if we are talking purely shape - it's not bad. It's classical, so you won't get bored with it in a year.

Ahhh I'm so glad I saw this post! I am fairly obsessed with interior design and architecture. My favorites are classics like Arne Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Alvar Aalto, Noguchi, Mies van der Rohe and F. L. Wright.

I love all of the interiors that Maarit has posted. :flower:

Some of my dream pieces:

K-Table by Mebel Furniture

"Between Two Chairs" by Louise Campbell. I've also heard it called the "Prince" chair - was designed for the crown prince of Denmark. It's laser-cut rubber!

This is the particular one I want. Can't stop thinking about it.

My current architecture obsession is this site: http://fabprefab.com/fabfiles/home.htm
It features so many amazing modern prefabricated designs. My favorites are:
Michelle Kaufmann (http://fabprefab.com/fabfiles/fablist/146-Breezehouse-fablist/breezehousestatus.htm, http://fabprefab.com/fabfiles/fablist/031_Glidehouse_FL/glidehousestatus/glidehousestatus.htm)

Hive Modular (http://fabprefab.com/fabfiles/fablist/150-B-Line-Hive-FABLIST/blinestatus.htm)

iT House (http://www.tkithouse.com/).

Oh wow, an interior design thread ^_^

Before I found fashion I was an interior design/architecture freak. Sadly, I haven't even thought about it until now. I was younger though- my taste in everything is a LOT different now. I was addicted to Starck furniture-also designers like eames & aarnio. Yeesh, did i spell those right? I would have been able to 3 years ago. Anyway- i'm SURE i'll be back to this thread soon :D

Great thread! Although my budget nowadays will only allow flea market, secondhand and IKEA-furniture, I have a great interest in interior design. I love the 60's scandinavian retro look, like these pieces:

oh! I love that bed too, and can't afford it either. However, there is a bed very similar to it at IKEA. ^_^

that rubber lasser cut chair reminds me of lawn furniture. it would be probably suitable for it... very cool. ikea anyone?

Well, I wouldn't put it outdoors... it costs €1,350. :D

I'm currently planning a big overall redesign of my loft. I've been scouraging books and magazines at the bookstore and I feel like I'm about to overload!

I've decided to make things a bit easy and go with a basic monochromatic scheme of blacks, whites and grays. A part of me enjoys the minimalistic modern style apartments but another part of me feels like they're boring. Ugh!

Does anyone (especially those in new york) here have any recommended any good shops (other than ikea). Any good books I should check out to aid my interior decor needs?

^go to the moss store in soho. www.mossonline.com it's pricey, but if you can afford it, it's the best in new york!

moma store is good to visit too. don't go too minimalistic modern... i'm a big fan of lighting btw..so if you can invest in a few awesome lamps such as the tord boontje garland one at the moss website that's half the work !

bohemian, that's awfully expensive. i bet they there is a way they could make it and sell if for cheap ;P

mouko, check out the industrial design thread -- there are lots of interior/ product design posted.
