Wow, the glass etching on your tabletop is fab, Sonnytsunami! Did you do it yourself, and what does it say?

JR1 and Sonny! you both live on a dreamy environment!! :woot:

and I don't know if this is the right thread for this but anyone know where could I get this lamp? I just randomly saw the pic and I liked it muchly! yes! :D

Not necessarily all interior decor, but I love Moco Loco. It's frequently updated with new architecture and industrial design.

does anyone have any pictures of "feng shuied" offices?
i have been searching for days and keep finding contradicting articles, without images.
i really want to see some stylish interior designs for an office using this method...

Which light?

I ordered this round light with the floral design, but after seeing the giraffe lamp in person I'm undecided. Which do you like?

They both have a whimsical quality in a different way-hard choice. I have a soft spot for giraffes too^_^ Is your living room sophisticated or more eclectic? I think the balls would work better in a living room, while the giraffe could add whimsy to an office or bedroom. I think for the giraffe to work it would have to be a very clean, modern look so the giraffe doesn't veer from tongue in cheek to juvenile.

That's a very good point, thank you! My room is rather sparse at the moment. I have a very large window flanked by dark honey maple bookcases. My desk is glass, my walls are white, and my bedding is a cherry blossom print. I think the combination of my sheets with the giraffe would indeed be a bit juvenile; it might work better if I change to solid colored bedding. I suppose that's good news since I ordered the round light already, but I finally saw the giraffe lamp in person the other day & it's so fun!

The giraffe is sweet.. but I get a juvenile vibe from it as well..
One thing.. what is the light for ? The giraffe lamp you could do a bit of reading by, I know it's not a reading lamp.., but compared the the floor lamp..they seem to have very different functions..
What are your needs ? defuse cosy lighting ? reading light ?

I agree with those who said the round light would work better in a living room,

I love this thread, its so inspirational!!

How important do you all think vaguely coordinating room colors in your house is (on the same floor)? Is it only important when one room directly leads to another? When painting a new room I'm always afraid it's going to clash with other rooms in my house.

Hi, I just bougth a lamp from a fleemarket, and I want to know who designed it, and when its from. It was very dirty and old-looking when I bought it, but after a bit of polishing it looks brand new! Any idea?
Or do you have any tips on how to find out?

is it stainless steel? i'd assume it's from the 60s, looks like it could be by flos, did you have a look at the manufacturers details, they will probably be on the bottom of the lamp.
