Gius- The light is reflecting into the glass so it is hard to see, But it is a round glass mirror. It has a 50s/60s mirrored star on glass. The table is a 70s credenza I painted chocolat brown. It holds a lot of clothes or shoes!

Fashionista- Your place sounds interesting I would love to see pics:D
Right now all my walls are beige in the main floor (because we are selling) but I would love to paint colours in the next house.

Not finished yet of course, but this is a beginning! ( It's my students room )

^I like the Habitat 'thing', I'm thinking of buying one myself but what's the light like when your room is dark? Do those small parts stand in front of the light?

thank you! I have to admit that I don't know yet how the light is when it's dark because I am not living there yet ;) But I think it depends on what kind of lamp you choose! The effect is beautiful ( even when it's light ) because the gold is really like gold when the light is shining on the flowers :) Also when you order this light, it's flat-packed, so you have to drape the flowers around the lightbulb yourself. This way you're able to form it just the way you want it to!

I hope I've helped you ;)

I love Kate Walsh's house....:

I need your help.
I bought a couch and cant decide how to decorate the room to go with it. The room is staged so none of that stuff will be staying.

^^ A bit narrow, but fantastic!

Punky
- You can stick with black and white, with pops of color throughout the room. Pops of silver/metal, glass and wood would add some texture..

You can go eclectic and choose individually interesting pieces and go in that direction.. There are so many different ways to make that sofa 'work'.

The most important thing is that your home reflects your personality.

Which direction were you thinking of going?
btw: love that sofa!

I wanted to stay black and white and maybe use lime or teal as accent colors.
but what color rug and coffee table would i use?

^^ As for a coffee table, if your space is a bit small, going with a glass or lucite table would help open-up the room..

Also, you don't even need to go with a traditional coffee table, but an ottoman instead..

As for a rug, perhaps finding one that incorporates all the colors you mentioned would help tie the whole room together.. (this would be very safe)

I say, go and experiment!:flower: B)
Safe is boring... haha

great couch punky! i love the print

i would echo butterfly*s suggestions..
stick with the black and white and the accent colors that you're leaning toward..
you might want to get some curtains that incorporate the lime/teal (or whatever you choose).. windows are always a great place to add a punch of color--especially with the light coming in and the white walls surrounding them..

the rug should also incorporate the colors and probably some pillows as accents as well in the same color family..

also, if you go with an ottoman as opposed to a traditional coffee table you coule go with that it one of your accent colors as well--but only if you go for a more neutral rug--otherwise it will get too crazy...
a black ottoman would look nice :flower:

good luck decorating!
