I *really* want that brush set. I need some decent makeup brushes. Even though I don't wear makeup very often I know that they will last me forever. I wonder if they will be cheaper in Canada since MAC is a Canadian company.
Do you not think they will be worth the money? I need brushes pretty badly (the ones I use right now are the cheapo drugstore kind) and I don't do my face often enough to invest in a full size set. If they are around $50 Canadian or less I might get them. Also, my boyfriend said he'd take me to the MAC counter and buy me some things for my graduation present.
Hey for all you models/performers out there I highly recommend MAC make up! Its long lasting and the various shades and colours are endless. I also recommend getting the MAC make up wipes they are very useful and work great.
oh i absolutely love mac pigments... they'e not really an eye shadow per se, the pigments are actual color pigment... you can use them as eyeshadow, blush, mix them with lip balm or gloss.. you can do absolutely anything with them and i can't recommend them enough
I love MAC. There are so many different colors. You should go and get your makeup done by one of the makeup artists. You're going to spend $$ on buying the products, so you might as well get your makeup done as well. They show you how to apply the makeup and will use things that look good on you. It makes you feel special too
It all depends on your coloring and what you're looking for. I tend to stay away from the matte pigments because they're so one dimensional.
You might like some of these "basics", unless of course you're looking for colors with punch (not sure which are disc and which are still available)-
Dark Soul
Silver
Naked
Vanilla
Coco Beach (disc)
Old Gold
The ones I mentioned are some of the more toned down colors. I have brown eyes, medium skin tone and highlighted brown hair and tend to stay away from anything too bright and flashy because it clashes with my skin tone and makes me look like a floozy (did I spell that right?! ).
It's not exactly that they charge you, you just have to buy $35 worth of stuff. If you get like 2 eyeshadows or foundation and something else, it pays for it.
lizzy- they tell you here point blank it's $35... apparently every counter is different- I've spent loads of money (250+) and then made an appointment to get my makeup done the same day, and they say "Well, that'll be $35!" but anyway- I the pigments!
This will probably sound like a stupid question but, what is the difference between regular MAC products and the Tailormade stuff? Is it just special packaging or are there limited edition colours or something? Just wondering and I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere.
Every once in a while MAC (as with all makeup names) comes out with limited-edition palettes. This particular one has the special packaging and I believe some of the shades are limited edition. The Tailormade brush sets are also "limited edition" although at Christmas time they often have brush sets as well.
Tailormade was a limited edition collection of Mac. Mac has a name for every new collection they come out with and tailormade is just the name of this certain collection. I believe came out during the Nordstroms anniversary.
