@platinum blonde:

real doll looks a bit like Angel which is a frosty color. The site you'd posted doesn't have it in its swatch gallery but you can see it on maccosmetics.com

how is the mineralize skinfinish natural powder? I want to get it in the light shade but I am worried about the price because I am unsure of it.

i wish they would make some of the barbie items part of their permanent collection! why havent they already??? i wonder if its because barbie is planning on rolling out a drug store line of cosmetics for tweens!

can anyone comment on the coloured liquid eyeliner? is it any good?

Liquid Last Liners really last if applied the right way... but the brush is crap, too soft and flimsy. the color will always get stuck between my lashes before I can apply it to my lid... you have to get a nice applicator, it can sting upon application and if the coat is too thick it will peel off after some hours like plastic (which it actually is)... BUT it's water and oily lids proof ^^

What you say it's true. I own one and it always ends in my lashes (and it's pink, so you really notice, lol). It's also very, very difficult to remove, at least for me. That's why I don't use it much...

holy smokes, the liquid last liner sure does sound like a weird product. i do NOT have a steady hand. i think i will stroll down to my local mac store and ask them about it. :flower:

I think fluidline is easier to apply. I own one, but the colour it's too bright and I don't think I wear it well, lol. But it is far easier to use :)

Try Lancome Bi-Facil for removing waterproof stuff like this. I personally used Maybelline and now some cheapo drugstore stuff for waterproof things. It does work, but some rubbing is required, so LLL is nothing for daily use, given you clean your face everyday (I bet it would survive more than 24 hours  )

what is the best product for contouring? and where exactly do I apply it?

ugh, makeup remover is so expensive...and it feels so gross around my eye area. i hate using it. the makeup removing cleansers i have barely work.

has anyone had a mac artist at a department store or a mac store apply lashes on them? (im thinking of getting the 7 lash, but i do not want to apply it on my own) do mac stores have a lash bar as it were? or do i need to go to a shu uemura store?

new mac collections are coming out on the 23rd of august blue storm and smoke signals. they are both dark coloured collections. i think i will skip them. im pale and i cant apply dark coloured makup well on myself.

for eye makeup remover i really love Rimmel's Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. it's water-based and doesn't sting my eyes or leave an oily coating, at the same time it doesn't dry my eye area.

the other day i picked up one of the new Paint Pots (Rubenesque, a gold/peach/pink color). it's much easier to apply than the old formula (in a wide pot instead of the old paint tube style) and makes a great base. i also picked up one of the Tendertone balms in a sheer reddish color. it's tough to describe but it has a cushiony feel on my lips, stays on really well and really moisturizes. i wish the Tendertones weren't LE!

has anyone seen these crazy 'Featherette' lashes from the Painterly collection? i think i'm going to order some (i think they're only sold at pro stores).

thanks peacelover142002, that was a good advice
btw how to find a good shade of fhoundation in MAC?!?!?!
i have people put NC 25 and NW 20 on me and they do said it mtach me (although i seem more suitable to NW 20)

^I saw those the other day on the MAC website and I can't help but think how weird they look

haha.... true. they're very weird and look like clumpy cartoon lashes (in the pics at least) but there's still something that appeals to me. :innocent: definitely not on the 'practical' end of fake lashes.

This might be the dumbest question...but I thought I'd ask it here. Why do people like MAC? What is it about them that people go crazy about? I'm not critisizing...just really curious about MAC.
