im definitely gonna get one of the raquel lipsticks! cant wait! the whole line looks amazing.

I agree...although I really want one of the eye pallete^_^

This has probably been asked before, but has anyone used Mac Paints? I really like the shade Chartru, and was just wondering what the staying power was? :flower:

The paints are pretty good...can be a little tricky to apply at first.

Whilst out I ended up buying;

Lipstick - Lovelorn and classical

Eye shadow Jete - nude and shimmery

i saw the big raquel posters at my local department store in the mac section. they look great!

i wonder how long the raquel collection will be sticking around....

What would you say is the best MAC product to buy when you don't own much makeup? I really love MAC and I want to buy some stuff from there but I don't know what to start with because there's so much!! I don't own much makeup (black mascara and a MAC lipglass :))

The eyeliners are good...it all depends on how made up you want your look to be...and your colouring of course.:flower:

I have fairly pale skin, and I don't like to look too made up. I usually wear mascara, a bit of eyeliner and fairly natural coloured lipgloss. Like this picture of Mischa Barton (I have an almost identical skin colour and think this amount of makeup looks about right for me :))

Well for lips can reccomend lip colours "Emphatic" and "Classical" ...with these I use lip pencil in "Dervish" There used to be a lip shade called "Myth" which was very natural but in the U.K has been discontinued.

Can't really see her eye make up to well but the powerpoint eye pencil in grey utility lasts for ages.

Hope that helps:flower:

If you go to a Mac counter and book in a make over they charge you £25 but then let you choose products upto the value so in effect it works out free but they may be able to suggest something a bit more.

how can i use the Glimmer shimmer?

i have a bronzy shade, it came with one of the black dress sets,
the SA told me to use it on my cheekbones, but it looked a bit dirty even tho i tried to blend it very well :\
do u think the shade is not for me? i dont know but i think there's other ways to use it right? :s
or maybe i should wait till summer and get my bronze on :p

It sounds like the colour is too dark for your skin tone :flower:

Thank u for the info. I'm off to the mall right now to buy the collection!

let me know what you get! i like the lashes and maybe an eye palette but i love love love the animal packaging on the lip stuff. super cute!

I was browsing Spektra.net - The Ultimate MAC Resource and I came across lots of "pallettes" with the user's own specified selection of eyeshadows/blushes... I've never seen these pallettes being sold so I don't know how you get them and I don't know anything about depotting... are they by special order only? Can someone please help... I'd really like to have one of these instead of buying individual eyeshadows, seems to make so much more sense...

those pallettes are only available in MAC PRO Stores, only in selected cities it seems. there are many depotting tutorials, especially on that site where you git the pic from
