The MAC Makeup Thread

I don't own any MAC eye pencils yet-I have Urban Decay's, however, and I use Zero on my waterline almost daily.

I have a few mac kohls and they smudge too much, I used to have one of their other basic pencil liners (forgot what it's called) and I didn't really like it either . I like bobbi brown gel eyeliner and makeup forever waterproof liner.

same here. i use bobbi brown gel eyeliner or MAC fluidline. i apply both with a 267 brush and my liner stays inky black all day.

i loved the mcqueen pencils (forget what they were called?). the black stayed really well, but the green smudged on me (though i still loved the color).

Oh the Kohl Powers? I honestly would not mind getting a few of those, I like a kohl-style eyeliner and the closest I get is Zero. Sephora has their new Nano Liners though, formulated with shea butter...and they have a pure black.

It's a kohl pencil, not sure if we're talking about the same thing. I have it in carbon, teddy and costs rica. It smudges nicely at first but then ends up all over the place. Bobbi brown is my all time favorite liner. I like Sephora nano's range of colors and it's overall good just as long lasting as I'd like but I also have really oily skin.

The McQueen ones were Kohl Powers-I think it was Feline, Mystery, Orpheus, and Raven.

Oh, I got the last Goldyrocks Dazzleglass that the local freestanding had-well second-to-last. I took my mum there...and she spent almost $200. She is raving a lot about Studio Sculpt-the artist used P&P face, then Studio Sculpt-and it really looks good on her.

yes, i'm talking about the kohl powers. i LOVE the color of jealous, but it smears like crazy.

i think feline and jealous are going to be repromoted with one of the upcoming collections. my mom still uses feline (we bought them again at the CCO) and thinks it's one of the best pencil liners she's ever used.

i seldom use a pencil liner anymore. i either just use fluidline in blacktrack on top, or line both top and bottom with corduroy eye shadow.

I never got any of the KP's, although I do want Feline. I find what works best for me on the waterline is a shadow-I used Contrast today, and I love it. I find shadows are better than liners for the waterline-they stay longer, and I can get more saturated colour.

I use Mac kohl liners to define my inner eyes, i never use them on the lid...i love using Prunella on my lower inner eye...and i use smolder on the top..so i define my eyes...
right now i want to experiment with the Dolce and Gabanna eye liner range i heard great stuff!!!

according to online sources, the MAC code is already working.

i don't think i'm going to get much fun stuff because i'm rounding out my brush collection which is going to be costly. the code is SUMO and i think it's free shipping for orders over $75.

It's actually free over $60. I am doing an order with my mum when I get home, I dunno exactly WHAT I will get, but all I know is that I will be an owner of Show Orchid. I got the Early25 code...shame they are sold out of Beautiful Iris in pan form.

Doesn't matter, I know my mum is planning on getting several pans...:ninja:

if i'm going with two eye brushes, what should they be? i'm eyeing the 213 and 214. i need something for packing on bright color and something for severely blending it out with a neutral.

the 217 seems to be what i should go with, but it looks so flimsy/fluffy. i like something a little more dense, even if it is for blending.

I would actually go for the 231 (my go-to for brights, as the small design makes it easy to get the colour concentrated) and then the 275. I have both the 217 and 275 in SE versions and for blending, I mostly prefer the 275. It's also good for application. The 231 is my HG brush though. I haven't used the 214 though, and the 226 doesn't come back til Colour Craft.
