The Mascara Thread

Because there isn´t! lol :)

Clear mascaras don´t do all that because of their formulas. A clear gel, usually doesn´t have the capacity to lengthen and give volume, it has to be something more dense ;)

If you don+t want an harsh colour, you should try brown mascaras. :)

I have read of one on here and I have another brand (that doesn't really work). The one recommended here was apparently much better than the one I have. Problem is, I can't remember what it was called, or what thread it was posted in and I saw it ages ago! I think it was something like "talika", but I can't be sure.

It isn't so much the colour that I am bothered about; it is just how obvious it is that I am wearing mascara. I want something that holds and emphasises the eyelashes, but looks natural.

I'm in love with Clinique's High Impact Mascara as well! I bought Lancome's Hypnose because everyone recommend it to me and it's good but I purchased High Impact mascara too (I don't know why...out of an impulse) and was soooo suprised:woot:!! My lashes are very long, voluminous and seperated!! It's worth a try!

This is probably a stupid question, but what's the purpose of a mascara primer/base? And does it really make a difference to the look of your lashes after you put mascara on?

mascara primer gives the mascara something to grip on, so that it lasts. because it builds onto the lashes, it can lengthen and thicken, but personally, i find dusting the lashes with some powder prior to applying mascara works just as well.

I use Maybelline Full N Soft. :innocent: It's been the best I've used.

Avon Daring Definition Mousse Mascara is super awesome. If you want something that lasts for hours and hours, this is it. It makes my lashes look great and I must use it daily.

I think I have to agree. I've used tons of mascaras, and I keep going abck to that one! And max factor 2000 cal

Always Maybelline - Sky High Curves in brownish black is my current favourite, Full n Soft is good too but unfortunately I can't find it here anymore.

Used to be MF 2000 Cal but I prefer the above two right now

umm... i have really long eye lashes but i cant seem to find the right mascara. at the moment i use xxl from maybeline but i dunno.. it's not that good. i need one that will give them the max length and make them apart. ohh.. and also.. do you guys use mascara everyday? cuz i just use it when i got out cuz i thought one shouldn't over due it... i dunno

^you must try unstoppable by maybelline. it really lengthens and it never smudges. for seperation, maybe you should try combing the lashes through with a lash comb while they are still wet.

I love 2 mascaras: Diorshow by Dior and Lash Queen by Helena Rubinstein.
I totally recommend them both!

I have Asian lashes (short and straight) absolutely love Guerlain lengthening formula!

I got the new Lash Stylist, I like it, it gives me babydoll lashes I wouldn't say it was good enough to become my HG but I like it so far.

so, i guess when i sweep over my eyes with my bare minerals foundation, it should do the job?

Givenchy Eye Fly is definately been the best mascara i've ever used

My eyelashes are super short, but this mascara makes them 10x longer, without ANY clumping. But it doesn't really do anything to thicken them, so my search for my HG mascara continues.

i love dior mascara... it makes my eyelashes so long and full. anyone think their is better....

Does anyone else have Shu Uemura Fibre-Xtension? It makes my lashes very long but doesn't thicken at all. I was thinking of using the Shu first and then Maxfactor 2000 to get more volume.

Is it ok to layer mascaras or is that a bad idea?
