The Mascara Thread

Random fact about me : My lower lashes are perfectly curled and longer than my upper ones. People think the lower lashes are fake ones, but my upper lashes are short! :(
^^meee too! i dont know if they are longer than my upper ones..but they stand out more...and curl alot more...i wish my upper lashes were longer!!

I lovelovelove MAC Fibre Rich & Calvin Klein mascara (did they discontinue this line?) I also love Versace's curling mascara and Loreal.

Loreal volume shocking.. finally got a pic of my lashes!

They are a tad bit clumpy but they look so long and fake with the mascara on. ^^ And a little clump doesn't bother me. In fact, I like it.

my vote goes to maybellines unstopable mascara in very black. it lengthens, thickens, darkens and does not smudge at all!

$10 dollars, MAC Zoom. Won't irritate eyes and makes lashes look like you have fake ones on.

Has anyone tried Max Factor - masterpiece? ( called lash perfection in US )

A lot longer. I have pretty long lashes for being asian, but they're notreally that long. The mascara makes my lashes about twice as long. It takes a bit to get use to the brush though. I hated it at first! But it's worth it.

* how does it work ?

The verdict is still out on this one- I've seen just as many complaints as raves.
You 'blink' to put it on. It is especially great for lower lashes, but it takes a while to dry.

wao..amazing..your lashes are so long !!!!!Gonna try the loreal mascara as well!hehe

i'm totally digging.. get this... COVER GIRL  Mascaras!!!
loved Fantastic Lash

Then loved Super Thick Lash even more = thick, long, curled lashes + no smudges + no flakes + super easy to remove w/ no residue.

Now there's the very pretty Lash Exact - which separates, lengthens & curls + no flakes + easy to remove w/ no residue.

i  Super Thick Lash for my everyday dramatic eyes
and will use Lash Exact for more casual days.

It's so cheap yet so good.

Totally agree, the volume shocking is the BEST! Even if the price is a bit steep for a drugstore mascara, it's amazing stuff.

I actualyl JUST tried out maybellin intense XXL and I think it's very similar to volume shocking, and the brush is easier to work with. Just make sure to put on lots of primer, enough so your eyelashes are almsot white, but not clumpy or anything. I let it dry a bit, but not totally. I'd recommend that over volume shocking, I think, because it's cheaper, works just as well, and the brush doesn't have a learning curve.

I have this as well but it took me a few tries before I could get it to be NOT clumpy. I think the primer is really what makes it clump so I don't put that much on but yeah, I also let it dry a bit before I apply the mascara. It does really make your lashes look like falsies though.

A little too heavy to wear on bottom lashes for my taste though. :yuk:

Really? It doesn't get clumpy for me at all, and I seriously LOAD UP on both the primer and the black side. But then again, that's what lash combs are for!

I'm asian and I have like NO bottom eyelashes, so I never even bother trying because they may as well not exist!

Oooh I've tried XXL, it was awful for me! It looked really fake and clumpy, and it didn't make my eyelashes nearly as long as with Volume Shocking did!

Guys I'm going to actually buy mascara soon and I want your opinion on which one I should buy. I want something that maximize length, doesn't clump, and gives the lashes a dramatic effect.

Some of my friends recommend Dior. What do you guys think?
