The Mascara Thread

I just bought diorshow waterproof this weekend based on this boards recommendations and so far I like it alot. it went on like "butta" and made my lashes, which are already long, look super long and thick. So.... if it stays on and doesn't smear under my eyes by the end of the day I will love this stuff.

oh, I also bought the dior powder foundation with spf 20 because it went on like silk and the coverage wasn't too cakey and plenty sheer.

L’Oreal Lash Architect

Ach! I just want to complain about L’Oreal Lash Architect. I am so fooled by the Milla Jovovich ad. I have been using it at least 2 weeks and still, I cannot get it to go on smoothly. The brush is too big for my eye, it clumps badly and ach! It makes my lashes stick together.

 :censored: :furious: :censored: :furious: :censored:

The only good thing about it is that I got it for free. :innocent:

Rimmel Xtreme Volume is brilliant...seriously. One of the best I've tried.

Has anyone tried the new lancome mascara Fatale?

Yeah -- it makes everything insanely black, thick, curled, long, etc.
I really like it, and you don't even need a primer because there's no need.

My only qualm is the brush -- I hate it!!

I mean, maybe I just haven't quite figured out the best way to use it, so I've been using a spoolie brush instead.

I've tried it. I like it but it's a bit tricky. When I got it, the Lancôme staffer told me to use comb side 1 on the first eye, comb side 2 on the other eye, and then comb side 3 to touch up. You're not meant to dip it more than once. I have to say, the results are fantastic so it's worth it trying to work out the comb bit.

Not the only one....that thing went in the garbage because I looked like an idiot. DAMN MILLA JOVOVICH!

i hate those comb brushes. it's why i didn't like the rimmel volum lash (the one with kate in the commercial) and why i don't want to try lancome's fatale. right now i'm doing mac's zoomlash because fibrelash wasn't cutting it anymore. diorshow never does it for me either. i don't care about my lashes being long or curled, ijust want them p*rn star thick.

lancome and estee lauder always have the best mascaras in town!

agreed! i'm currently using estee lauder 'more than mascara' for day and 'MagnaScopic' for night. both.

Does the Maybelline Great Lash really work? Alot of people like this....

I´ve been using YSL but lately my eyes have been getting a bit red and irritated, does anyone know of a mascara that might be good for sensitive eyes? :flower:

i think ill give it a try after my YSL tube finishes.. i hope it gives a better effect than the ysl faux cils

One more thing about Lancôme's Fatale -- it still looks marvelous the morning after the night before...;)
