The Mascara Thread

I have naturally curly lashes... MAC Mascara X works well for me I think. Although I really like Lancome Definicils.

on the high end side, i loved amplicils by lancome and maximeyes by dior..
from the cheaper side, volume express by maybelline is wonderful :woot: i was really surprised. it lengthens, thickens and doesn't clump.

full and soft by maybelline.

i get asked what i use...but then again, i was lucky in the lash department! yay!

nornor

l'oréal double extensions! My mom tried to give it to me for Christmas but it was sold everywhere! I finally got it a week ago and i LOVE it. it is one of those dubbel mascaras. but I only use the black brush. I feel that my lashes get so thick and stiff otherwise.

I use DÉFINICILS by Lancome.. best mascara.. I have used every kind and they by far make your lashes longer and fuller W/O the clump.

My second choice would be mascara by Chanel.. very similar to Lancome but they dont get your lashes as full.. ..they are too clump free

I have been using Lancome since in high school.. about a year ago I decided to try Loreal Volumizing (sp?) and save myself some money... anyhow they destroyed my lashes... I have a natural curl and that went away :( ... my lashes also started to fall... sucks huh... ..had to share my story lol

you know.. I have great eye-lashes I  them because all mascaras work pretty great for me .....except lancome mascaras which everyone seems to love

This must sound stupid!
But well... guys, how do u know when the mascara is fully "finished"?
i mean i can tell my Chanel Extracils running out, but I don't want to chuck it out until it fully finishes, u know?
So when do u guys usually chuck your old mascaras out?
and how do u know if it's fully finished or not?
Thanks guyS!

Dior and Lancome never impressed me much.
My favorites are YSL Effect Faux Cils, L'oreal Lash Architect, Maybelline ExpressVolum and others.

Tortoise - technically your meant to use mascara for three months then throw it out.... but I never do....

Dior Show is fab - bought it and the Dior woman, I'm in Asaia, was saying that it was only for models. It's like honey, we're all models on the inside, it's just the packaging that can be confusing...

Not sure if it's better than the Lancome extencils but is good.

oic... thanks
now i know
anyway, is dior woman a new mascara from christian dior?

burgundy is a lovely alternative to black

So I just bought a tube of Lancome Magicils, having seen it in turqoise and thinking it looked great. Once I was looking and buying though, I changed my mind and went purple. I was a bit disappointed that the purple colour isn't what I expected. I'm not totally sure what I thought I was going to get, but my mental picture was definately more dramatic. It's still not bad, but it's not what I wanted.

And it's supposed to be a "rinse-off" mascara. It does slide off your lashes fairly easily with a bit of water, but the late-night eye-rubbing gave a bit of flakiness. Just not impressed. I feel like I could have gotten this performance from from a ten dollar tube.

Take it back, enrichi, and ask for a refund. If the product does not meet your expectations or the advertising hype, keep them honest by saying thanks, but no thanks. I think we need to do more of that. Citizens, to the barracades! :ninja:
