The Mascara Thread

Has anyone tried the Revlon 3D Extreme mascara? I'm debating whether I should buy it or not...

Yep, I've tried it, for me, it didn't do, only darken my lashes much and it clumps alot as there is no stopper in the tube.

clinique naturally glossy is the best. does anyone else use it?
i just wish they never stop making it.
Has anyone tried that new curling hypnose mascara by lancome?

I really need a new mascara, but I've tried so many average ones that I don't know which one to buy next. I'm looking for a high street/'drugstore' mascara that's relatively cheap, which one would people advise? Bear in mind that I live in the UK.

Just finished a tube of YSL faux cils which is my usual mascara.. I want to try something new and Luxx's review of Armani eyes to kill is tempting me! I may pick up a tube this week.

Izzi - my go-to high street mascara is always Max Factor 2000 Calorie, but I also thought L'Oreal Telescopic carbon black was pretty good.

Jungla Junana - I knew I meant to pick up something else in Selfridges! Luxx's review made me want to try it too. Let us know what you think if you do get it!

^^^^I third that one! I love that it's always available in Brown, my preferred colour

Also, I ordered a tube of DiorShow Iconic tonight. I cannot wait for it to arrive. (By the way, my friend who said it clumps was mistaken... she was talking about Blackout, not Iconic.)

The Iconic mascaras clumps more if you apply it like you would with a regular mascara, wiggle the brush back and forth at the base of the lashes.

You should rather just apply it from the base and straight up! I know that "the wiggling part" is supposed to separate the lashes, but with Iconic I feel it has the opposite effect.

I've used Maybelline Colossal Mascara for a few months now and I'm in love. As long as you don't let it dry you can apply as many layers as you want to and get no clumps. Mascara is the only make-up I use besides foundation and I'm all about the long, dramatic lashes with as much volume as possible. I also use a mascara primer to make sure I get the length I want.

I've been using Lancôme Hypnôse for a while now and even though it's been pretty good (doesn't clump, lasts a lot, leaves your lashes soft and bendable, the length difference after applying it is remarkable), it isn't the best for me (it lengths but it doesn't give 'body' to the lashes). I'd recommend it anytime though. Now i'm really curious about the YSL Faux Cils!

The other day I was out and went to reapply my mascara (Givenchy Phenomen'eyes) but I realized I didn't have it with me but my Diorshow Iconic was with me so I used that, and it's a really good combo for anyone who'd be up for trying it lol. Phenomen'eyes takes care of the length and the Diorshow kind of fans them out and fattens them up after, it looks really good together

Really, I tried it but it was too wet and uncurled my lashes after I curled them. Do I maybe have to wait for it to thicken up ?

just got my tube of Eyes to kill. I am in LOVE! it lengthens my lashes so much, where the Faux Cils made them more voluminous. a mix between the two would be perfection

it might look slightly clumpy in the pic but nothing a lash comb can't fix.

The best one is max factor false lash effect
Seriously people keep asking me if I were fake lash

I'm looking for a good drugstore lengthening and curling mascara (more that it can hold a curl). Any recommendations?

My favorite mascaras are Dior's Diorshow, Maybelline's Stiletto and Lacome's Hypnose.
