The Mascara Thread

I have to say, I got Iconic extreme and it was a total waste of my money. Iconic original is good, but none of them compare to Givenchy Phenomen'eyes, and now there is a new version of that.

Actually, on the strength of this thread I have gone out and bought YSL Faux Cils, Iconic Extreme and Phenomen'eyes and two out of three haven't been worth it.

^ Thanks for the info about Iconic ... that's why I refuse to use Blackout, it's too darn hard to get off.

I have been hearing that Armani's Eyes To Kill is nothing short of stellar. Has anyone tried it? I think I am going to go out and get a tube tonight.:woot:

I am curious about lancomes new mascara that sephora emailed me about, if anyone tries it I'd love to hear what you think. Normally I'm the first to try new products but I've never liked any of lancome mascaras so I think I'll wait on this one.

^ What is it called, Guessgirl? I am a huge fan of Lancome mascaras, and would love to try it out!

It supposedly has an S-shaped brush-that's all I can remember though.

Did you get it Luxx? It has amazing reviews on MUA, reeeeally curious ^_^

Dior Iconic is great, i second that! But still nothing can beat YSL Faux Cils mascara.
Tiiu, as for eye make up remover i'd recommend Kenzoki Clear Eyelid and Lash Gel. It has a great light gel texture, not oily and easily and gently removes any mascara from lashes, including Dior Iconic. Since i tried it i can't use anything else.

I adore Dior Blackout mascara, it gives me dramatic lashes, results that are comparable to the effects of fake lashes,

I just bought Iconic after using blackout for some time, and it's great but the blackout brush is thicker - is iconic meant to be better, or just achieve different effect?

It's meant to make your lashes curly and separated, but blackout is far more intense than Iconic for obvious reasons.

I just recently switched from Diorshow to YSL Faux Cils and I won't be switching back. it is AMAZING!

I've been using L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes for a few months now, after receiving a free one in the mail. I really like it -- mainly because it washes off with water. It also doesn't smudge, at all. I wore it through a run of a play, and learned that it's thankfully 'cry-proof' as well. The only real downfall is that when you wash it off, the 'tube part' actually come off, and look like little fallen-off eyelashes. Sort of scary.

The Diorshow Blackout is just only for a intense black explosion of volume, and the Diorshow Iconic is just only length and separation....

the thing with the loreal is that the white mascara doesnt last long, i went to put it on the other day aftyer having it not that long and all of the mascara in the tube stuck to the brush

blackout vs iconic - from my experience they give similar dramatic results. Blackout does all more volume which makes it clumpy while iconic seperates well but still adds thickness. It also comes in a great waterproof version.

what do people think about macs plush lash? iv seen one of the girls who do tutorials on youtube use it and its makes her lashes look amazing..
