The Mascara Thread

and you know it was a woman at the printemps shiseido corner I asked her for the eyelashcurler and shes lookin at me and said o what?you mean the tweezer ?no we don't have it sorry lmao I swear to god shes at the corner and she doesnt even know the products shes selling lol

^What! Don't tell me they don't have the Shu Uemura curler either... That's just as great as the Shiseido one. The Japanese know lashes best

To be honest I think my Shu Uemura curler is no different to the one I bought from David Jones for a quarter of the price :innocent:

They just dont sell the Shiseido curler in Paris I dont want to buy it on ebay cause Im scared it might be fakies
And Im a freak for curler lol I have 3 curlers now(elite mac and shu uemura)dont even ask me why but I want them all lol
I really dont know why they dont sell the shiseido curler in France its just weird

The heated lashcurler by Talika I can recommend everybody! The effect stayes the day!!

Lash curlers never worked for me I think that's why i got so obsessive searching for the perfect mascara it seemed to be the only way to longer lashes for me lol

They work on everyone - but only if you use it properly of course.

^There lies the problem then lol. Or maybe i just haven't been satisfied with the results, I demand a lot when it comes to eyelashes they're my obsession lol

There are different things you can do. Some say that you should place the curler at the base of the lashes and then apply pressure for 30 seconds..that doesn't curl my lashes at all. It does give them a lift, but no curl. I start at the base and I do small gentle squeezes :smile:lol:smile: all the way to the tips of the lashes. Works like s charm. I find that waterproof mascaras are best at holding the curls though

I stoppped curling my lashes... they are so long they always got caught in my eyesbrows when I did curl them.
What I absolutely love is the "brow & lash gel" by the body shop. You simply apply mascara and then use this stuff to seperate and shape your lashes, it lasts all day, makes the lashes feel very soft and adds a nice shimmer.

caught in your eyebrowns ?!damn they must be really long ure one lucky girl

I think I've really been blessed when it comes to my lashes, I'm not complaining. (That makes me sound so smug, doesn't it? Oh, dear...)

Back to topic: try the "brow & lash gel". It really works wonders!

Now I'm in trouble... My brows come down very low, I guess, but here are some pics... I'm not wearing any mascara in these, though and I'm blonde, so the tips are bright. How does one take decent pics of ones lashes anyway??

o ok cause its the shape of your eyebrows but your lashes are really long just like mine
Thats maybe why I get huge lashes with the false lash effect

I had this teacher once who would direct all of our schools theatrical work and she always complaint about my lashes being so long and that it would use up all of her mascara. I'm glad I was only 8 years old back than or I would have thrown a tantrum because of her using the same mascara as she she did on everyone else with all the bacteria in it.

Back on topic: I'm not a big fan of the "false lash effect". I love my lashes to look natural and like I'm not wearing mascara at all. But since I'm blond it's not that easy. I've dried dying my lashes before but it looked horrible, so I'm slill looking for the perfect shade of brown or "light black" to do the trick.:(

When you want to have a great curl, that holds the day you have to use a weightless mascara, something like Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feather Collection. Because the heavy weight of the other mascara's the effect falls down.

And a reccomendation for careing, use the StimuLash by Fusion cosmetics, IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!!! Only in the evening, before you go to bed, use like an eyeliner at the roots of your lashes.

THANKS DIEDEJAN youre the man!
Diesanni thanks for the story with your teacher I was laughing so much lol
Damn I would have thrown a tantrum too using the same mascara on everyone is so dangerous I hope she was fired lmao
