I really want to get properly involved in this competition because I want to severely encourage the photographer part of my personality. When I move in a weeks time I will be exploring my new area and I can't wait to discover new inspiration in a bigger place. I love to work to a theme so it will be good to leave the house looking for a theme
Modern weather station and 13th century church, both pointing in the same direction, one for science, one for religion.
Musée du Louvre in Paris.
The modern pyramid structures are what people think of when they hear the name of the museum, but the building in the background is what the museum really is - it's where the artwork is displayed, the building has a history of its own, the building is e n o r m o u s and its beauty doesn't get enough credit.
This shows the contrast between an old car (background) and a new one (foreground). They're both Ford Thunderbirds, but one is 45 years older than the other. I know most people here probably aren't interested in cars, but I just thought it was an interesting comparison.
amazing work everyone, it was really hard to choose a winner when it seemed like everyone had a great take on the theme.
**geostud** entry was my favorite, i just loved the sharpness of the focus, and the beautiful tonality, and you really got to see the modernness of the sculpture in comparison to the older architecture congrats
