There are these group of girls in my year who look down at the rest of us (its hilarious) and they do their make-up like that every friday when they go meet boys afterschool and at Friday lunchtimes everyones all excited and just sits in the classroom watching them paint their faces.

It´s because the so called plastic look is to exagerate all of your features but with awfully made makeup most of the times.

Just try this for a more modest aproach:

* some foundation/concealer (whatever you fancy most)
*line your eyes with some khol and then smudge a bit
*use lots of (well applied) mascara on top and botton lashes
*lipgloss (no lipliner! lol )
*finish with a bit of blush (a bit more than you normally use)

It will be plastic but still classy.
...and i can assure you that even flat chested, you will call a lot of attention to your face.
It will also look a bit more plastic if your hair is blonde.

Something to keep in mind is that you gotta wonder what kind of guy would actually go after a girl who is dressed like that (and possibly has various STDs). You'll probably attract guys who look/act like Eminem Those same guys who'll go after you just to get laid and then leave you the second they've 'done you'. Then they go tell all their friends how easy you are, etc. Ugh, I've been there.

Maybe this is because I grew up in the 'burbs but where I come from, the really good-looking guys with the nice jobs and lack of criminal record are all attracted to girls who have the 'natural pretty' look. They might give Plastic girls a second glance but more often than not I later hear those guys comment on how much make-up the girl has on, not how hot she is.

^it def. does sometimes they make me feel like a rag because they are so dressed up and made up. But its so hard to maintain that look. Maybe if you were going out to a club or party then I would have that plastic look but not on an everyday basis. if you want the plastic look tons of makeup will do! and a push up bra!

Y'know, I had plans to hit up the smokey palettes (I actually had a shopping list made for the weekend to attain that "plastic look") because I was tired of being the girl next door . But reading your message made me smile (esp. when you said "you'll probably attract guys who look/act like Eminem"!)...and you've made me stop and think. The type of guy who fawns over the makeup would probably drool over just about any smokey-eyed girl. No offence to the smokey vixens (which I think is great for special occasions), but I'll stick with my neutrals and browns for everyday. Thanks, VainJane.
