The Rachel Zoe Project ... Television Show

The health factor was certainly apparent when Rachel and Kate Hudson were sitting next to each other. I actually gasped out loud, the difference between the two is so scary.
Rachel and Rodger's comments about Kate were so exaggerated for what seemed like nothing more than a business relationship. I almost expected to see a shrine to Holy KHud in the background.

Also, the Jezebel article was pretty interesting. I've never understood why they talk about Rachel having a baby so often when she doesn't look like she could sustain one life healthily, let alone two.

Why are they using so many eps on the Oscars? I'm getting sick of them freaking over Oscars' dresses..

There are 3 episodes left as it looks like this season has 8 episodes total. The next episode is on September 7th.

I don't know about all of you, but I'm ready for more fashion and less "oh mah god brad.." and "shut up rodg" and "ohhhh my god kate and demi"

I just feel like last season had more fashion and more shoots, and this season has a bunch of bitching about dresses not being available and it's more focused on Rachel's personal life than before. She's definitely upped the drama and lowered the real reason for why she has a show.

It's annoying.

OMG its totally my thoughts !

I actually sympathize with Rodger a bit... he seems to be going through an early mid life crisis...not sure how real it is but he probably wants something more out of life than just meeting celebrities, gawking, talking and obsessing about clothes...

Rachel also doesn't seem very affectionate towards him as well....

I don't usually condone such behavior but maybe Roger needs a nice mistress to keep himself occupy while Rachel is busy with her team...

True. Rachel is very focused on her career. As far as someone on the side for Rodger, hmmm maybe the makeup/hairstylist is available. I kidd I kidd...;)

I must say that I don't hate Rodger but am merely annoyed by his presence on the show. It also didn't help that he basically compared Taylor to a terrorist. He's a mess.

So wait, was Ashley actually fired?! Not that it would be a huge loss to the show... :innocent:

Ashley's gone?
I love that they made a huge deal about how she was going to replace Taylor. Perhaps if they wanted to replace Taylor they should have chosen somebody with a personality.

Here's what Brad has to say about it:

When Ashley was initially hired, she was hired on a temporary basis through the Oscars because we wanted to see if we actually needed three assistants or not. Jordan was a junior assistant at the time Taylor was fired, and we weren't sure if she was going to be able to handle all of the responsibilities that were going to be thrown her way, so we brought in Ashley as well to help with that. When Ashley got sick over the Oscars she was REALLY REALLY ill and we decided to have her stay home because with such a busy weekend coming up we did not want to have other people getting sick. Ashley was still on Blackberry, following up with designers, etc. She was really dedicated! She even came in to the studio while we were fitting Johnny Weir because Roberto Cavalli had called her to tell her that there were some gowns ready for pick-up. At this point, we told her to go back to bed and rest up so that if she was feeling better; she could be with us on the day of the Oscars. I called Ashley on the day of the Oscars and she was still really sick. I felt horrible because I knew what a disappointment this was to her. By this time she had been off for three days and had missed all of the fittings.

The Oscars went off without one glitch, aside from Demi's dress not being ready until minutes before she left for the red carpet. What we did discover was that we really only need two assistants and since Jordan had been working for Rachel for two years already, that it was only natural that she would become the second assistant. It was nothing against Ashley. We love her and she will always have a place at Rachel Zoe Inc. The truth of the matter is that after the oscars we slowed down a bit and there wasn't enough work to keep three people busy. We asked Ashley to come back in June when I was getting ready to go on a world tour, but she was already booked on another job.

Ashley has now landed a job with a great stylist and is working with some super chic clients. We are still friends and talk on the phone and see each other socially. There is NO drama. She is a hard worker, a great assistant, and a super sweet person with impeccable personal style ... and great hair.

^it sounds a bit weird since they're always freaking out about how much they have to do and stuff..

I don't buy Brad's "explanation".

I missed most of the episode last night - reason being, it wasn't interesting enough to keep my attention, so I didn't even know about Ashley being fired till this very instant when I read it here. Either way, when they hired here there was not one word that she'd be a temp. They seemed pretty content with finding a replacement for Taylor, etc. And then especially with them always complaining about having "so much to do" all the time, wouldn't make sense to let someone go. But even still, if they wanted to see if they could do without a third person, why not try then as soon as Taylor was fired? Why bother with HIRING a person and THEN trying to see if they can do without her?

Sounds fishy.

I agree. Something sounds fishy.

But seriously, does Brad work? Every time we see him, he is checking his phone, or goofing around.

Taylor may have had a bad attitude, but we at least saw her work. We see Jordan work.

I could be wrong, but was Jordan there before Brad? Can't remember.

And I find it hilarious that Rodger sounds like the new Taylor with all his complaining and frustration.
