The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

the fabric is viscose on the Tshirt dresses.

I'm really not a fan of the olsen twins at all. But i've been searching for months to find a decent tshirt dress that wasn't A: cheaply made B: cut to reveal my ladybits C. hideously dowdy.

The row is well made and I like the cut and fabric. So I got the dresses and I'm very happy.

Oh, don't get me wrong-they're gorgeous, and beautifully made. They're just too far off from my own personal style...
:)

i wore my dress yesterday with some flats...though i changed to these ugly white boots that i love later on :x

fashion, i didn't know your dress was the row...love it!

stacyellen
...i went to barneys sf after work today and they had a black bandage skirt in a size 4...

i wanted to get the black v-neck t-shirt dress, but they only had it in a medium, which was too big...
mercer, can you post modelling pics of yours? i'd love to see it on...

fashion, lovely!

kim, the dress was for someone else (customer) . i have one too but didnt shorten it. i just scrunch it up around the waist :)

can anyone tell me how much the bandage dress cost? My friend is in Hong Kong and just told me that she saw the black dress and skirt but didn't check the price. She told me one of them was about US$900 but couldn't remember the exact price. how does it run in terms of size, I need to ask her to check it out tomorrow for me but need her to give her my order asap. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw the skirt at Barneys in NY and think it was around $600.

has anyone seen that now American Apparel has a viscose shirt up on their website? hmm curious?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no trying to hate, but....since when Mary Kate and Ashlee get so overrated? I mean, when I see 'em I can't help but thinking in "full house"...they are no fashion icons to me AT ALL, I think they are super rich girls with very talented friend fashion designers.

the Olsens have always been popular...be it for Full House, anorexic days, NYU days, and obviously their impeccable taste in fashion. there are many wealthy girls out there who dress differently and perhaps they're fashion icons to others...well, to each their own.

water_daisy The bandage skirt retailed for $520 at Barneys, Bergdorfs and Maxfields if I remember correctly or around that price.
Where is The Row available in Hong Kong? :flower:

Hi Just looking. Where did you see it in oz for that price? Seems expensive even taking account of the import duty (about 17%), gst and shipping.

^ at Belinda (MLC). they may have moved it to The Corner Shop in The Strand though. This is in Sydney btw

I can't believe their prices. I mean, I would imagine someone would buy this to feel like they own something expensive.

The fabrics are nice and luxurious but graphically/visually THE ROW isn't anything special or unique. If I saw someone walking down the street wearing the Row, I would think they got their clothes from American Apparel.

Where is it made? If it's made in the US, I can semi understand the prices. But if its made in CHINA.....

:innocent:

I half agree here. I feel like they have really good taste in fashion, but I do feel that they are super rich girls that just can afford very talented designers/sewers/PR specialists/etc. Like...do you think Ashely has ever really sat down at a sewing machine for 5 hours?

My dresses were made in the US.

I agree the prices are crazy. But as I said in an earlier post, these were the only dresses that were decently designed with nice fabric. Why on earth it is so hard to find a darned Tshirt dress is beyond me. It's not like I enjoy spending $368 on something that I should be able to find at Target.

^^^ agree.

I mean they really did find a void in the market. So, in all respects, they can charge whatever they want.

Its overpriced but there aren't any alternatives.

:S
