The Row - The All-Things The Row Thread

Those Row pieces wouldn't make it to production as the most basic of many a collection.
What is there to rip off as someone mentioned? Shapeless boring sacks.
It's a TOTAL MYSTERY how this thread has managed to consistently stay on the forum.

THEY ARE NOT DESIGNERS. THEY SHOP. THEY COPY. PERIOD.

Look at them, they don't have 2 shared brain cells between them!
Yeah, you know like, it's really FUN!

The shape, cut and over-all design of their basics. And they've got more pieces than simply these t-shirts, vests etc.
Only thing is The Row is that "exclusive" ( I guess) that pictures of the more expensive pieces are not posted all over the internet.

??? clearly you've never even read this thread or done your research on the line itself, so what basis do you have in saying this?

none

i'm not even a big fan of celeb lines or even MK&A but the row has a basic and simple concept... couture basics! The quality is impeccable and that is what separates it from other lines. There has been a ton of though put into the line and the designers really care about the clothing.

So I would do some research before shooting it down completely ;)

frankly I'm surprised no major designer has ever though of this before. Everyone needs a basic white and black T, etc. it's a wonderful idea make high quality, amazingly comfortable, flattering basics using couture construction methods!

^_^ thank you for the karma

i tried to post that in ur profile... wouldn't work?

I think the Boutique stuff is a good alternative if you want the same look but can't afford the Row. No shame in that. Leyla, Harvey Nick's had a terrible selection when I was there last (which was in late decemeber/early january) One teeny rack and nothing special. Maybe they've got a new order in but I doubt it. I wonder if GucciGal was at the presentation since I think that is one of her favorite boutiques...but maybe she doesn't wear the Row

Topshops boutique range this season is a TOTAL rip off of The Row style.
The Row much??? ;)

The boutique section is much better quality than regular topshop, i bought thal black tee and it fits soooo nicley a bit sheer and drapey, it's a great buy.

^ Very true.
Only thing is sometimes I find the Boutique's choices of materials a little odd.
Still, my vest and tee should arrive soon and I'm thinking they look good quality so yay!!
Defo the closest to The Row I'm ever getting... sigh!

thanks for the article mma...
matchesfashion.com will be carrying the row starting in the spring...another place you'll be able to get it online...

there were some pics in the catalog i received yesterday from the row spring lookbook...
i'll scan it tonight...

Cant wait to see the lookbook! Thanks!
That is such great news about matches! I am not surprised they have picked it up!

Does anyone know who the model is from The Row video???

I'm desperate to know!! Thank you!! xxxXxxx

I wonder how much Ash will expand...I didn't realize they did over 100 pieces in one season, it always seems so small. I swear if I had a lot of money, I would take everything..LOL

Anyway I wonder if she will eventually build up to a runway show...I'm guessing yes. Something small though...Seeing the recent Isabel Marant show made me think that kind of simplicity is what she would go for.

i hope they don't have a show, though. it'll be our little secret ;) i guess i'm just greedy! but i don't want a lot of people knowing about the line

^ I pretty much agree although I'd love to be able to get my hands on it more easily!!

If The Row became affordable everyone would go, " Hey, I'm gonna be New York downtown chic!" and start wearing the line 24-7 until the whole thing was run into the ground and the Olsen's themselves had to abandon their signature style just so they didn't look like morons!

The way it is now, The Row isn't known about by everyone, only by fashion-minded people who even if they cannot afford The Row themselves, can go out and emulate the look without it turning into an awful mass-market "trend".
