The Twilight Saga Movies

None of us her take these movies seriously or think they are any good. We realize them for what they are, it's just fun, a gulity pleasure. There's nothing wrong with that. And looks are subjective, you don't find Rob good looking and that's fine but some of us here do.

People who post here might not take them seriously but there are people who do. I was just stating my opinion.

it's unpopular to "not get" twilight? ever been to ONTD? or any other serious social webpage? if anything, i'd say that not liking it/not finding anything interesting about it is as most popular opinion about it out there and it's been that way for the last couple of years. twilight, apart from the fanbase, must be the most hated trilogy out there.

i still have to meet a person who takes this series seriously.

I'm confused then, (and I'm not saying that this is what people here do so, you know, don't go jumping down my throat on this one. She says hopefully) because if no one takes them seriously or thinks they're any good then why continue to pay for tickets to see them at the cinema, or go a 6am screening or buy/rent the DVD when they come out? Because if I feel that way about something I certainly don't waste my cash on it. I'm genuinely curious about it, I'm not just saying this to be be a b*tch or stir it up because things like this fascinate me, I can't get my head round it. I find it hard to believe it's purely a guilty pleasure thing.

who's jumping your throat or thinks you're stirring up?

i think that those who attend 6am screenings are serious about this, but, as i said, i don't know such people. as for the rest of us who pay the ticket? you never pay anything to have fun? my roommate and i go and laugh are heads off, if anything, it's a nice time spent with my friend/friends.
also, that's where my spending, when it comes to this, stops. i can only talk about my reasons, i guess.

^my reasons for going to the cinema are pretty much the same. And I collect certain items that are part of things I like, like the manga adaptation... I´ve been collecting manga for years, I even work in the field. It´s fitting :)
For me it´s all about the guilty pleasure, and not just for Twilight... you should see my Star Wars action figures LOL

I was just saying that because you know, people read text different ways, I wanted to be clear in what I was saying that was all, I wasn't accusing anyone of anything.
Yes I do pay to have fun, but my fun is going to see some good theatre (actually I hardly pay for theatre tickets so no I don't pay ), not a bad movie. Different strokes I guess, we all entertain ourselves in different ways. Thanks for your reasons though, I do genuinely find the whole Twilight phenomenon fascinating.

I pay for good movies/plays too, in this case i was only talking about twilight per se as a medium for having fun, one of the mediums anyway. I guess its called a phenomenon for a reason - nowadays people are less inclined to pay for bad movie no matter how fun it might be, so Twilight is an exception worth studying for all media experts and i think that the starting premise for it should be changed as its always been approached to as a pretty homogene, non diverse one which is only correct to an extend IMO.

Ok did any of you see this in the hideous dress thread. Is swear when I look at this ''dress'' I feel like the ''designer'' must be a Twilight fan -

:doh::sick:

^ I think it is.

Anyway, so I was watching the film "Like Crazy" and on comes this guy who looked soooo familiar, but at the moment, I could not put a name to his face. So naturally, I log on to IMDb right after to check who he is, and guess who? It's Charlie Bewley.

And I'm like, wow, talk about a coincidence, he was just a topic of discussion on TFS. I have to say, he was pretty hot in the film. ;)

^ I caught Kellan on a CSI rerun the other day. It's weird when things like that happen.

OMG, what is that dress..it's actually both creepy and is making me barf...omg.

why is it hairy ?

and it looks nothing like a womb at all
but why would someone do that ?
