The Vampire Diaries

i hope they dont do the whole delena thing. so predictable and not fun!!!!

I think I'll be snoozing when they have Delena on screen. :ermm::innocent:
What is predictable is how they are making Damon into a good guy and get people to forget about his abusive ways from the past two seasons.

I hate how they're making him this good guy too...I get it that he's trying to be better for the girl he loves but honestly that's soooo boring -_-

LMAO. The funny thing is that he's not made into a good guy. Damon is still doing the same sh*t he did in S1. The difference is that we're supposed to feel sorry for him now cuz, he's only doing these awful things because Elena doesn't love him  He's the Chuck Bass of TVD! Another @sshole on TV that abuses women. Yay

seriously? i don't think they're making him a good guy. they're simply showing that he now seems to be conscious of the bad stuff he WAS doing and still sometimes does because he's fallen in love with Elena, which I think it sweet at a lot less boring than
1) watching him time and time again do the same, emotionless bad things
2) watching elena with stefan have a relationship so boring and predictable i'd be more entertained watching my grandparents

You shouldn't need to fall in love to realise what a dickhead and douchebag you are being. His brother has been telling him for, lord knows, centuries that he knows Damon is not that sort of guy but he chose to not listen to the one person who has stood by no matter what and will probably stand by him no matter what.

And how is a relationship where two people are in love and being nice to each other rather than playing games of "I like you, oh wait no I don't, oh I'll sleep with your best friend instead to make you jealous", or based on sex but actual mutual love for each other boring and predictable? I've never understood why people keep saying their relationship is boring cos if that's boring then sign me up anyday.

^It's not boring! I think that people mean it's predictable. In real life you might want just that, but on a tv show, some people are wanting more drama. :p

I don't think the show is trying to make Damon the good guy. Damon has made a choice to be the way he is, whether he is doing terrible things or trying to get Elena interested in him. He chooses to be that way.

As for Stefan always being the good, well-behaved, and mature one... I think that is going to change now that he is on the run with Klaus. I am very excited to see what happens in season three! :woot:

SWEET?!!!

Yeah. It was cute that time when he killed her brother in front of her. Adorbs .

And isn't it just convenient how Damon always has an excuse for his rapey and abuse behaviour? Like Season 1? That was just because he was so in luuuuuuurv with Katherine. So not his fault that he killed people and raped Caroline. It's hard not to be loved, you know .

I honestly think Damon is a lot more vulnerable and weaker emotiaonally than Stefan. He fells for a girl a lot more easier and he has a hard time forgetting about her. And in the beggining he didn't embrace the fact that he became a vampire when Stefan enjoyed it. And then the two girls he truly loved didn't accept him as he was and chose Stefan over him. And I believe his bad behavior is a reaction to all these bad stuff that has happened to him.

^Isn't that exactly what abused women tells themselves about their abusive boyfriends?

How could you possibly hold a grown up man responsible for his own actions, right?

^^ I was going to say, how you deal with what happens in your life determines who you are as a person. But acting like a douchebag doesn't excuse what he's done. Don't get me wrong, I do like Damon and I do like the complexity of his character but when people start making excuses for his behaviour, that's when my likeness for him disappears. He knew what he was doing, look at how he bragged about what he can do with the fog during the first episode. He knows what "powers" he has and he abuses/d them. Not saying Stefan is a saint mind you,

I agree...I like his character too and I'm not making excuses for him either...he definitely had some problems in the past but his behavior it's not a good reaction. As I said before he is emotionally weak and he wanted to make other people feel as bad as he did. And this whole thing is really messesd-up :ninja:

LOL, sorry but I'm just a little fed up with the Damon defenses. I liked him a lot actually in S1 - because they never tried to pretend like what he did was okay. He was the bad guy and that was all. S2 is different. You're actually supposed to sympathise with his character - as if not being loved gives you the right to kill and r*pe. Just no.

Also. I hate how they have thrown Elena's character under the bus for the Salvatores - in particular, Damon. She's not even a person anymore. She's an object for the brothers to fight over.

Don't be sorry, your opinion sweetheart. And I agree with you 100%. Season 1 Damon is the one I like too. I hate how on tumblr they're always defending him but then I see posts bashing Chuck Bass.

As for Elena, I've never cared for her even from the beginning. But you're right, she's just there for the brothers to be torn apart more.

Hey but it makes good tv right?
