i agree as well. the fact that anything and everything was happening in the first two seasons is largely why vpd became such a hit, even stuff that most fans were strongly expect. back then, i really had no idea what would happen each episode, and each one was full of surprises.

now, i suspect largely due to julie being in charge, almost everything that happens is expected, and consequences are also easily predictable. sad that such a promising show has taken such a steep downwards turn so soon

I have just seen episode 7 & don't get me wrong I would do Damon Salvatore in a New York minute but all this sire bond stuff is just so amateurish.The creative team are ruining my show! But I did like the Jeremy storyline. Next week's episode looks interesting - 1940s WW2 era flashback - ok!

last night had so many julie moments. especially the last scene. stefan deserves way better.

I actually didn't hate this last episode. Elena wasn't so annoying, probably because she didn't have that much screen time.
And Jeremy finally got some storyline not just being that emo kid.

I hope that Klaus and Caroline get together ASAP. They look amazing as a couple and it would be refreshing to move from all that Delena/Stelena crap.

wow, intense episode this week! first episode this season and for a bit of season 2 that i didn't find almost every moment incredibly boring and irritating. nice to have a new, unexpected plot line introduced

This show is so boring. I can't believe how it went from amazing to I don't give a ****. They have to make some serious changes, especially with Elena. She is one of my least favourites characters on TV right now.

The only good thing in last episode was Damon's face when Elena told him that she loves him.

Caught a couple of scenes on youtube. Loved sassy Stefan but still not enough to drag me back in to watch a whole episode. Still can't believe how quickly this show went downhill. It had so much potential.

At least the latest episode has me anticipating the next one. I agree that the show has become a little tedious, but I think there's always that element to it that I just like. Nonetheless, I think I miss the show when it's all over. Then will come the Vampire Diaries marathons.
