The Walking Dead

what about father Gabriele? He's not going far before tetanus sets in, IMO. I think he'll turn.

i dunno,i think they all have let their guards down at some point or another....i think it just shows even in the world they live, they're still human after all. as for the episode as a whole, yeah their were some weak moments but i think this episode emphasising a turning point we'll probably see next week and when it returns in the new year.

I was surprised I stayed "spoiler free" until that moment, the internet is breaking

Whoa what an ending! I didn't see that coming  I feel for Daryl and Maggie the most. Beth was always the most positive of the group.

i really believe that beth we saw so much only in the background with judith we saw grow a lot with daryl. it's really heartbreaking to me because who knows what kind of character she could have developed into eventually. she could have been like carol and in a weird way she was sort of the younger version of carol...tormented and vulnerable at the start but evolving into somebody very tough and had their wits about them.

Guys, what do you think Beth meant when she said "I get it now" before stabbing Dawn? What does she get? Cause I don't get it at all  (i.e. Dawn's motivations for being such a b****)

^i think that she saw through dawn's "doing something important" rhetoric....that she wasn't interesting in helping anybody but purely doing the things she did to bolster her remained leadership. dawn said throughout the storyline,"you don't get it" to beth.

usually the deaths on the show are more dramatic, this one was so anticlimactic imo... one minute she´s hugging Noah, the next she´s dead.

i dunno it was pretty dramatic to me...it wasn't drawn out like some deaths have been prior but it was certainly stunning....

^I thought it was dramatic too, quite shocking because it was so sudden. For a second there you think "nah, they didn't kill her off" and they you realize she was shot in the head, so that's it for her.

BTW Emily Kinney said something interesting about Beth's last words (from the Daily Mail:(

"Beth's final words were 'I get it now' and Emily explained: 'I think there’s something about Beth where she’s saying, “I get it now." Sometimes you don’t realize how horrible a person you can be until you get pushed to the limit.
'You don’t even realize that you’re capable of killing someone and being such a horrible human being in a certain way, just in order to survive.'"

that was what I was saying. other deaths you saw them coming, there was a build up but not with this one... it was so unexpected imo.

i think what it was about that scene was that beth wasn't supposed to get killed, she was getting rescued and seemingly back within safe arms,as it were. it was senseless and random and obviously the act of a woman close to the edge.

that's a great synopsis from emily and i have to say i see that too. because dawn kept talking about horrible it was out there and there were bad people and she and the police were the saviours but i think beth saw just how horrible she really was...

so I guess , then it is dramatic, when one minute she is saying goodbye- and it is dramatic and sad bc she has to say bye to him , especially bc they liked each other, and next she decides to make a move and save him to be with him. and this is dramatic, she hugged him and then she was killed.
