wow the trailer is so powerful, i missed the show.

watching it I also began to think, how many seasons will there be??
And does anyone else thins it would be a good idea (if they find this cure or sth) to do a season on their life after all this, how they deal with normal life??

I don't know if the endgame will be finding a cure or not, but I think it would be super interesting to do the last season as life after zombies. There are so many messed up people in their world now (the Governor, Terminus...) and zombies being wiped out wouldn't change that immediately. Many of the living could even be considered "the walking dead" at this point, and it would be really cool to see how everyone deals with trying to rebuild society.

brilliant first episode. bad-a** carol becoming the hero of the show frankly <3 i really love how evolved she's become...she's easily become my favourite character now. i'm glad that terminus story didn't get stretched out beyond this season premiere because we dealt with so much of the lead-up the second half of last season,i think it would have got a bit frustrating for me. but the producers were right...that's the bloodiest and most ruthless i've seen the walking dead in a couple seasons.

^Exactly, it would be annoying a huge history about Terminus.
The backup story looks very interesting tho and that's what I love about The Walking Dead, and for the first time (If I'm not wrong) they talk about the cure. Also the bloodiest part of the episode was what this needed.

It's amazing that with all the blood and gore in this show, usually zombie related, the most disturbing thing we've seen so far was that scene right at the beginning. So scary to see how un-human some of these people have become

I think we will see the story behind the terminus, like in the end of the ep there was "then" and it shows , i believe, what lead those ppl to become like this.

^ I think so to, its a very important theme of post apoc to lose your humanity. and the leaders of terminus had done just that, so we may see how it led up to that or what exactly they did. But now it seems they have been taken over and Gareth is now a captive so I'm sure they will show more of that. And where is Beth, if we assume Terminus took her or maybe another player we haven't seen yet. It was a great episode. I love Carol, she really took control. And I'm glad she is back with the group for now, its the first time we have seen all of them together in a long time. They did talk about the cure, but I doubt that's right. Awesome to see Morgan at the end there. The sign had some overgrown vegetation around it so I'm assuming some time has passed since the group passed that point.

did he become a captive? the only scene on that they showed was the flashback pre-cannablism. but you noticed in the trailer they showed gareth with the group so i imagine they'll cross paths sooner rather than later and might use him as a hostage of sorts. but i think the group held captive storyline would have got a bit tedious after a good stretch especially with all the anticipation in searching for it last season.

^ At the end in Terminus it seemed someone else had taken over. Gareth was whispering to someone I can't remember what now but it seemed he was trying to stay quiet. Maybe I need to rewatch the episode..

^ You are both right. Thanks Scott for reminding me of the pre-terminus scene. I found it again in the episode and saw the "Then" part. I was confused where that fit in. I'm sure he will be back.

oh, I get it now. they only shown him getting shot, not dead. so he could easily come back, maybe the last "then" scene was to show that he's resilient?
