So, this is my dress inspired by the British favourite, the Sunday Roast. It includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas with gravy (it also includes yorkshire pudding, but I didn't include that to save the effort of explaining what a yorkshire pudding is...).
In my garment, the silk chiffon blouse in a cream colour represent the mashed potatoes, light and full while the darker brown underneath is the lining which represents the gravy swirling around the potato. The leather waistcoat represents the beef, pretty straightfowardly, I think. The silk pencil skirt is the carrot, with the stitching detail represent the slicing and the green details such as the round suede handbag shows the peas. The suede shoes, with their green ball detailing are also peas, while the brown wooden heels are the gravy swilling at the bottom of the plate. I hope you can see the inspiration!
I didn't include a photograph of the meal itself, because I could not find an appetising picture anywhere online.
The client is a woman in her late twenties to early thirties, who wants to be stylish and youthful without coming across as mutton dressed as lamb while remaining professional looking. I could image this outfit on someone like Victoria Beckham (to name a name people will know) or similar.
PS. Love the other entries so far!
