ooh aaron thanks, youre always so sweet. i think ill go looking for the fabrics today, ill post it all on my blog so you can guys look at the finished product =) the fur bolero and the Loubies will be missing though haha, that was just for the game haha. But i do want it to be green and have my nails painted in red =)

no one post during the holidays, ey

heres is my entry...

-The main fabric is midnight blue taffeta-

- on the top on the corset, over the breasts (see the little detailshot), drapings forms the shape -

- in the middle of the corset, there is a one layer of soft, light blue tulle, that shows the belly and part of the breast. Little daring, I know-

-from the waist down, the middle of the dress, there is layers and layers of the light blue tulle!-

wear with black platforms and avantgarde hair-do!

i am posting mine in 5 (or so) minutes

ok. so it took me more than 5 to post, but i can explain why!!
the thing is i had initially done the shoes (black ankle boots with see-through sides), the necklace (diamonds and splattered rubies) and the center coat (black satin on the outside, lined in black orylag on the inside, the red parts as ruby-red crystal embroideries. tailored to perfection on the shoulders and the hips where the red line is, and loose everywhere else in straight line around the body and A shape below the bottom red line)
but then i reread the challenge directions and saw it had to be a gown! which i had not planned! so i had to draw one. the result is a cocktail dress. the skirt has volume on the front and it's all sequinned (starts with long sequins at the bottom that shorten up and get just a little bit darker as they get to the top and sides of the body to get a longer, leaner silhouette). it goes from the waist, down a little bit over the knee. The top is very simple. the simplest t-shirt, but done in blood-red-silk. a little loose on the front so that one doesnt feel constrained in any way.

Well its time hahaha i wanted to wait for gius but he never appeared and I want to go with the rules i said in my challenge so this is the judging:

Daniellat: SO glamorous and sexy too!!the Fur thing looks amazing!! loved the color! and the styling, GREAT JOB

Perfect10: the tulle works amaingly perfect!! i can imagine how a woman would look walking around with that dress!! lovely

Borjacapella: your dress is sooo cute!! and very glamorous!! the shoes are very pretty!!

OK so it was though, i remebered the challenge and it had to looks christmassy haha so i checked andchecked and got to the conclusion that the more xmas one was the one of..............

great! thank you aaron! Ill post my dress pics as soon as i can. For the next theme i spent several minutes thinking about it. I put the Maddonas Confession dvd to help me think and suddenly there it was..... I dont consider myself as a Madonna fan, but i find her music very cheery sooooooo, this challenge is about designing something based on a song by Madonna, it could be any song, just try to not repeat it, so if someone chose a song you wanted, please dont do it again.

Im fallin asleep after a "busy" night out haha so if you have any questions ill be happy to answer them...tomorrow haha. Oh! and this time i want to be part of it too (of course mine doesnt count, how selfish would it be if i picked my own haha) but i like the challenge so im designing aswell.

what a challenge!

I am so not a Madonna fan I think shes disturbing and annoying and not all that, I even dont think its funny or catchy when they play her music on the dancefloor or parties...

But I am going to going to try! So many designers use her as inspiration and her music on the runway... maybe I will learn to love her

This is from the video Material girls. There are alot of steps in the video, so thats where the skirt comes in. Also alot of diamonds, so the shirt starts off as a necklace and then turns into a full top, all made out of bling and tucked into her step-skirt. There were also alot of men in suits in the video, so thats where the jacket comes in.
